“Elana and Chantel were BRILLIANT; so welcoming and helpful. The freshly prepared and cooked breakfasts wonderful. The property itself is not for the faint hearted! We knew it was at the top of a hill but did not appreciate the severity of the drive leading to it - no Uber drivers would attempt it, meaning a challenging walk back up after dinner, definitely not a place for heels! Once up the drive, there were also a lot of stairs in the property; up to the main floor, up again for breakfast....

“The room itself was lovely (we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite). With the exception of arranging a driver for us to go have dinner in town (he literally never came and also they were looking to charge 4 times as much as an Uber which is outrageous) was good and attentive. In room dinner was cute and so was breakfast but hard to get their waiters attention. All in all, a nice & cozy Stellenbosch stay.”

“Very welcoming, pleasant and made staying easy because they covered the issues that most travellers to a country would like to know or experience. There were specific little touches in our room that stood out. The welcoming message and of course the delicious wine and view from our room. Also noted was their consideration for environmental issues. I don’t explore the cape fully but will Come back to Lovane again given the opportunity. Thank you. I will enjoy the wines I brought back to London. ”

“The acid test of any stay is would you go back? For us it’s a definite yes. This property is a large home in Constantia which is split in to a number of units. We had booked a 2 bed unit but our host put us in the main house, a 6 bedroom 4 bathroom unit with direct access to the wonderfully heated pool. I think our host had got a few over booking issues and unfortunately we had to leave a day early but in fairness he arranged for us to stay in a lovely guest house not far away. The main house...
