We were moved to a different property
Due to plumbing repair overrun we were called at 0650 a week before and moved to a flat in Westcliff (choice of 2). I thought I was talking to a Vrbo person and was confused that the property details was on a different provider"s site. The flat address was for the ground floor but the flat was on the 1st floor. Neither of the visible keysafes yielded the keys - found a third eventually. Spent ages trying the wrong flat door. Only 2 of us but the property was advertised for 5. Enough beds but no chairs beside L shaped sofa made from 2 bed bases which would fit 3 to sit maximum. Top windows all pushed so far open that they couldn't be closed until we found a taller neighbour. One double bedroom has the bed, wardrobe, 1 bedside unit turned sideways so that the lamp cord could reach; mirror and one very high shelf. 2nd bedroom: double and single bed, the matching bedside unit and a chest of drawers and mirror. The garden door from the room led to a steep looking staircase blocked by the neighbours brambles. No visible sign of garden furniture. No aerial for the TV so no Freeview. There was Netflix. We met the family who had booked it a month previously on the doorstep the first night. They were sent off to a different property 25 minutes away. There was no welcome sheet which normally tells you a bit of local detail, rubbish collection and checkout details. We thought it was 11, received call at 10.30ish telling us the cleaner was on the step and why haven't we left?
