We had a lovely stay at this home on the Rio Grande riverfront. The river can be seen right through two huge windows at front of house. We saw many mergansers cruising up and down the river right from the living room.
Kitchen is large with very nice high end appliances -- crock pot was nice touch. Bedrooms are a bit small, but living room is huge and comfortable. WiFi worked well... heat works well, but just don't try to use both space heaters at the same time (blows the fuse). Stand up shower head might need some serious CLR (showerhead sprays water in weird directions). Linens (sheets and towels) were all high quality. Washer/dryer is awesome large capacity, but a bit scary-noisy because of its power. BIRDERS: Loved birdwatching along the road/riverfront (Canada geese, bald eagle, red-winged blackbirds, white breasted nuthatches, common mergansers, magpies, sparrows, American dippers, dark eyed juncos all just along our walk down the dirt road of the neighborhood.) Quite peaceful. We also had a chance to check out Monte Vista NWR (about 30-40 minute drive) for sandhill cranes too. Imagine it is a great place to fly fish in warmer weather. A few minutes drive to small town of South Fork. Convenient to Wolf Creek Ski Area (about 30 min drive.)
