Wonderful! We took advantage of everything this property had to offer and enjoyed every minute. We lounged around the fire pit, went boating, paddle boarding, and played games. There were some beautiful hiking trails nearby, apple picking, My mother turned 80 this week and she really enjoyed winning the contest and 2 bonus prizes. She wants me to thank John and Donna for their hospitality. Thank you for lending us your home and making our stay special.

This property is exceptional! We have stayed here for work events several times and have been extremely pleased with each experience. This trip, the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed peak fall colors. We prepared lunch and transported it to our St. Lawrence team during trainings we provide as well as hosted a dinner for the leadership team. As a foodie, I can attest to a well appointed kitchen with everything one would need to create wonderful meals. John and Donna are great hosts. Thank you for sharing the Lodge with us.

Beautiful property, tons of things to do at the house (game room, pontoon boat, hot tub, volley ball etc…). Plus it is the perfect place to have a large family dinner. Huge dining room table with room for 10 people, all the plates, bowls, glasses , silverware you need and pots and pans for cooking. There is also a dw for easy clean up. The beds are comfortable (remember to bring your own sheets and towels) and the showers are hot and very nice. Overall one of my favorite places to stay.

My family has been doing annual lake family vacations traditionally for many years. We had a wonderful stay at this cabin with many activities to keep our group amply entertained. The cabin was beautifully appointed and mostly well equipped. I do think at this price point it would have been nice to have linens, towels and life preservers for the boat included, but overall, we had a memorable time together and made some wonderful memories as a family. Having ample firewood was definitely a bonus for our evening campfires which, even in the summer heat, we gathered around each night. The family enjoyed the scavenger hunts that the owners left for their guests and it added a nice touch to our stay. We were a group that ranged in age from 11 to 78 years old. Everyone took something positive away from our stay here and we left feeling very grateful for having had the experience together. Thank you for sharing your lovely homestead.

Relaxing and secluded getaway

This is a lovely home and property. The area is quiet and you don't see/hear any neighbors. The hosts provided a fun scavenger hunt (with prizes!) on arrival.There were many fun water toys: pontoon boat, kayaks, paddle boards. The waterfront area is small, bottom of the lake is not sandy (kids will want water shoes).Highlights: beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, nice fire pit, fun game room.A note that may help future guests: the loft as very short ceilings and is most suitable for young children. I am only 5'4" and I had to duck to get up there. You will not want to plan on using those beds for teens/adults. Also, there is a pack and play in a closet and a highchair in the game room, which aren't listed in the amenities.

Cozy cabin, lots of family games

We had a great time at the house. There were lots of family activities to pass the time and we also enjoyed floating in the river and taking the boat out to fish. The kitchen was well-stocked and the house had a lot of character. Beware of the deer flies and mosquitoes.

Graduation weekend

Proud parents and family spent the weekend at the lodge to celebrate college graduation...Despite the weather was a little bad on the first day, we had a wonderful time at the Lodge and enjoyed as much as we could. Another great stay!

Some collegues from Rochester Regional Health and I attended the ribbon cutting at the new addition at Cantin-Pottsdam Hospital and stayed for a couple more days to provide training for our team members at St. Lawrence Health. As was the case during our last stay, the property was perfect. There was plenty of room for all of us and a well appointed kitchen provided the opportunity to invite some of the leadership team to dinner Monday night since most of the area restaurants are closed. We also were able to cook lunch and bring it to the training sessions wash day. When we weren’t working, we relaxed in the living room and spent some time in the hot tub. I will definitely stay again. Donna and John are great hosts and think of everything from the welcome bottle of wine and apples to the fun scavenger hunt. We rent through VRBO often and I can honestly say this is one of the best properties we have stayed at. I can’t recommend it enough!

Perfect Family Vacation

Had a wonderful time at the Lodge. There were 14 of us ranging in age from 2-80. Plenty of room and plenty of things to do. The property is beautiful! No one wanted to leave.

Summer vacay!

We had a great time at the lodge! Plenty of room for 15 of us. Lots of fun games indoor and out. All the water toys were a bonus. The hosts were extremely responsive to any questions or issues. Great place to stay!

Great Time With The Family!

The entire family had a great time! No need to leave the property except to buy groceries and go to the bait shop! Swimming, fishing, playing games, kayaking, paddleboarding, relaxing in the hot tub and cruising in the pontoon boat - everyone was always busy and having fun! The only suggestions I would have is to maintain the boat dock a little better (it was a little shaky and uneven), and provide new seats for the kayaks that were worn out or missing.
