“Sigurd’s home is absolutely lovely. The location is peaceful and beautiful, with a wonderful view. But more importantly, the house is spotless and equipped with everything you need to have a home away from home. We hated leaving. And he responded to any needs we had right away. The entire experience was easy and made is feel welcome. We enjoyed spending time there more than even driving around. We would go back without hesitation.”

“As always a great stay. Blankets are Nice and warm. The cabin was Nice and warm when we checked in. The views are amazing and the surroundings invite you to take a walk, even when the weather urges you to stay in. Absolutely my favourate place to stay when visiting”

“The house is absolutely beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The host was available easily and answered all questions in a timely manner. We loved walking to see the animals up the road and sitting out back watching the water. Definitely a 10/10!! A few notes: If you want dinner or drinks at the hotel up the road, call to see if you can reserve a table as they typically only serve hotel guests. “This is a great apartment in Bergen. Very convenient yet very quiet. My biggest complaint is the website says there is a clothes dryer. THERE IS NOT A CLOTHES DRYER IN THE APARTMENT!!! We thought there was a washer/dryer combination but it turned out to only be a washer. No directions were available in English but we googled the model and found directions online. We would not have stayed here if we had known there wasn't a dryer in the apartment but we managed. Ever dry clothes with a hair...

“Completely renovated and nicely decorated old Norwegian house, right at the harbour of Glesvaen. Situated right at the harbour with great views. Equipped with everything you need. Mr Cameron is a great host and has put a lot of work in this house. There is a nice restaurant/Cafe right around the corner (The only one in the area). Nearest Supermarket is a 10 Min drive, and there are two more another 10 mins away. You can swim, explore the area by boat or on foot or just relax and enjoy quiet...

“Im Haus und auf dem Hof haben wir uns wohlgefühlt. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet, nichts hat gefehlt. Sogar die Bratpfanne war 1a (das kann man leider oft nicht sagen). Der Internetanschluß war 'ne Wucht, TV über Sat, Mobilfunk überall LTE. Das Hinderniss bestand darin, dass wir liebend gerne vom Ufer aus angeln, das aber auf dieser Insel so gut wie unmöglich ist (entweder bebaut, oder einfach zu steil). “Fairly basic flat, clean and has everything you need. Up above the road so sitting outside on a nice evening has a great view. Owner lives upstairs and is very helpful. Beds comfy and good shower. Very friendly local cat comes to visit. About 25 minutes drive to centre of Bergen and loads of good walking and fjord swimming places within 20 minutes drive max. Thoroughly recommend for 10 days exploring.”

“Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und vernachlässigt. ( nicht ablaufende Waschbecken und Dusche, ekliger Whirlpool). Sauberkeit war nicht Top. Schlafzimmer in der oberen Etage rochen sehr unangenehm. ( Matratzen ohne Schoner mit Flecken). Ausstattung nicht wie angegeben. ( Keine Fahrräder) Kaution wurde nur auf Nachfrage hin zurück gezahlt. Der Vermieter war nett.”

"The Clarion Hotel is well situated not far from the main harbour and close to the funicular railway with lots of restaurants, bars and other amenities close by. The breakfast is, as was promised in the booking information, absolutely fabulous and really sets you up for a good day. The room was a good size and the bed really comfortable. There is some updating of signage required within the hotel - we spent some time trying to find the sauna on the 7th floor only to find it had been located to the gym in the basement!"
