When we arrived the first evening of a 5 night stay, we were displeased to find the only shower in the unit to be clogged and filling up with water after just 1-2 minutes. We contacted the property owner and it took them over 2.5 days to get the problem fixed. First their regular and only maintenance person contracted COVID, next they were not able to schedule a plumber within several time windows that we provided and finally, after we expressed our frustration, the husband drove out to unclog the drain.
Furthemore, given the price point of this unit we found the cleanliness to be substandard. Snack crumbs on the coffee table, air vents dusty, and a dirty cooktop. Those are simple things you expect to be taken care of for the sizable cleaning fee you are charged on top of the nightly rate.
We wanted this place to be a nice and quiet escape after a couple of very busy years, but the slow resolution of a rather substantial maintenance issue left us disappointed. We did ask the owner for a partial refund (1 night) and they ended up telling us we were unreasonable and we would just need to agree to disagree on the matter.
