Great views, but not easy to get to Apex
The views from the unit are incredible! While the unit is technically in the resort, it's a "hike" to the lifts which involves a rather long and “exciting” walk down the street (street can be slippery if there is any precipitation), to the village, then back through the village to the Apex lift. The walk back is then mostly uphill so make sure you save lots of strength saved up as it is not for the faint of heart (the listing says 7 minutes, but I assume that is not carrying ski equipment). The same holds true for the hot tub and other Club Solitude amenities. While the listing makes it seem likes its right there, it takes quite an effort to hike to use these. The front door to the unit which has the bench to put on and remove ski boots, etc., is unusable as the front deck and walkway are not shoveled. Basics like toilet paper, paper towels, soap for bathrooms, sponges, etc. were not there so make sure you bring the necessities when you drive up the canyon. The basic starter stuff you expect when you rent a place were non-existent. The unit was fairly clean when we arrived. There are plenty of light switches, but either the lights don't work or no one can climb up to replace the bulbs. The kitchen is fairly well appointed, but lacks measuring spoons (paper towels and sponge). The seating is ok, but the living area sofa and chair are not really supportive for a large group. A decent place, but the attention to detail by the site manager and cleaner leaves a lot to be desired.
