The pros about this property is the seclusion and isolation of the location. The beaches were not crowded and the water was refreshing. We were able to see dolphins breaking through the waves in the mornings while sitting on the deck and drinking our coffee. Also got to see crabs and stingrays. The house has been modernized and had a nice little kitchen and the bathrooms downstairs and upstairs had been updated. The cons are the bathrooms were on the smaller size, there were no stairs that went directly onto the beach from the backyard. The beach access on the side of the house was a huge sand dune which was difficult for me (due to disablility) to traverse. Parking was also an issue since the drive way was full of sand. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive just to park in there. Overall our stay was nice and relaxing. Exactly what I was looking for on our vacation.

Tipsy Traveler

Before my vacation even started I was bombarded with emails and text messages from the realtor. I even had to submit a gas grill waiver form, which is why I was so surprised there wasn’t a gas grill on the property. I called and was told I could rent one for 80! On top of that you had to pay to rent sheets and towels also. Money grabbing at its finest. I will however say that maintenance was exceptional! The house itself is very beautiful in a beautiful location. However it rained a few times while we were there, and every single floor had windows that were leaking!

We enjoyed a relaxing family vacation in this beautiful decorated 3 level townhouse with our dog. The home was very close to the waterfront with beautiful views in all directions, I even enjoyed the view out of the front windows. The beds were all comfortable with pillow top mattress covers and cozy duvets. Nice peaceful end of the beach with nice people and lots of dogs along the beach. The kitchen has all of the essentials and the showers were very nice with good pressure. I would recommend bringing house shoes or slippers as the straw weave like stair grips can be a little rough on your feet and theres alot of stair climbing involved as you enter on the lower level and the kitchen/living areas are on the 2nd level and 1 bedroom is on the 3rd level. There is an outdoor shower on the back side of the carport area on the deck to rinse off the sand and salt water, ever has hot and cold water and a soap tray! We enjoyed our stay and the price is fair. We would definitely like to go back in the future.

Stained Furniture. Carpet is awful, hurts your feet and is a trip hazard. Needs to have some tall chairs on the deck to sit at the tall table out there. View is absolutely gorgeous. It was clean and had all utensils you need and cooking pans.

Wonderful house right at the beach

We really enjoyed our stay right at the beach. This is the perfect location for families with kids that want to spend every minute of the day at the beach, as the property is right at the beach. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was well-equipped. The first floor bedrooms were a little humid when we arrived and it took some time before the effect of the AC kicked in, but when it did, we were comfortable. Very comfortable beds. We read previous reviews and were somewhat worried about the high tides reaching the house and driveway. We were there at the time of the highest tide and there was no issues, the tide did not reach the house. Thank you!

Close to water

Very close to the water. Awesome location. There were no chairs on decks so bring your own. Overall nice stay. We love Topsail.

Family beach getaway

Great property right in the beach! Clean and easy to get to, as well as clear communication throughout the check-in/out process. The only concern was the outdoor furniture, which was rusted through so we couldn’t use the outdoor deck space. Overall a great property - they just need to grab new outdoor furniture.

Weather was great except HOT. stayed inside during day (ac was great). This beach is very shallow and extends well out into the water. Fishing was so so. Being at the beach was great.

Lovely stay

Had a wonderful stay - made great memories . Only thing I would ask is that that the place be cleaned better. No furniture has been cleaned under - ever - had cockroaches.

Great Place to Vacation!

We had a great stay at this beach house. Our trip was late July to early August 2023, which was during a full moon (king tide) so the beach was very spacious, there was a lot of room to hang out all day right in front of the house. The current was not terribly strong and we were able to swim in the water and let our kiddos walk around in the shallow waters without any issues. During some evenings the tide did come up and leave a little pocket of water right in front of the house, that usually dried up by the morning and didn’t cause any problems. The house was clean and stocked with everything we expected. The internet also worked well during our stay. A couple highlights we enjoyed: a nice outdoor shower with a moveable shower head, many ceiling fans, access to a vacuum, sand toys, nice outdoor seating options and a very comfortable crowd on the beach. The location was great and close to the Tiki Bar North End Market which had staple kitchen items, the St Regis Beach Shop also had scoop ice cream and staple kitchen and beach items. The Bada Bing Italian ice cart came down to our end of the beach a few times during our stay. We had no issues during our stay, and would rent here again!

Great customer service

We’ve always loved Topsail and really enjoyed our stay. We did have a few issues but the real estate company managing the property was very responsive to our questions and concerns and did everything possible to make things right.

Getaway

Great views. Loved watching the military flyovers. Downside: sheets and towels were not in the unit when we arrived. Shannon made some calls and they arrived shortly. The house was clean and well stocked however it was the wrong house for us. Too many steps. 1st floor two bedrooms. 2nd floor main living space. 3rd floor primary bedroom. Difficult for us to manage the steps. Won’t return.

Front row washout house

Did not realize until we arrived the horrible sand bag mess all down the beach front. This is a wash-out house, meaning when the tide comes in, the water comes up to and under the house. The main challenge we had, was this owner was the only one not to clear the driveway of over a foot of beach sand. One car had to be towed out it was so deep. The management company did take care of this, and advised "the vendor" would be there asap to address the sand issue. We were there 3 days - no vendor ever arrived. House was nice.

We had a wonderful trip! The property was well appointed and very clean. Check in/out was super easy. If you are looking for beach space directly in front of this property, you won’t find it. However, if you like sitting on the deck, having the water close to you, and enjoy watching waves and porpoises, this is an ideal spot!

Can’t wait to go back

This was my first trip to Topsail Beach and it didn’t disappoint. The ocean is literally at the back door. Walk down the stairs and there you are. No need to pack a cooler because the house is right there. You can lay in bed and hear the ocean. It was spectacular. And the home was beautiful & homey. The owner went above and beyond on the decor. I felt right at home. My only complaint was the lack of cookware, but it was a good excuse to go out to eat! I will definitely come back to this house year after year!
