Our Favorite Place to Stay near Broken Bow
My wife and I needed a break, so we went to this cabin, our favorite get-away spot. There's nothing better than relaxing on the patio and listening to the stream as the wind blows through the trees. The amenities are comfortable, there's a fire pit for the evenings, and it was very peaceful and quiet which is exactly what we needed. It's a short drive to Hochatown if you want a restaurant, but we bring our own food with so we can stay in nature. So grateful to have this time!

Absolutely amazing!!
This property exceeded any expectation's we had. My family and i loved the hiking that was available. The fire pit was amazing for cooking smores. We loved the sound of the creek running behind the cabin. Complete serine and peace. Just what we were looking for. The care taker was very nice and respectful, the cabin was very clean and had everything we need. There was a store within 5 mins for the last minute things I forgot. Will be staying here again!

We had the best Spring Break playing in the river and enjoying the gorgeous views! We enjoyed walking the property and trying different fishing spots! We’ll definitely be back!

Family spring break
Beautiful property and very comfortable and well kept house. I really appreciated the dishwasher and laundry facilities (especially handy when the kids got soaking wet in the creek everyday). We all loved the deck and creek. We had a lovely campfire in the fire ring on the last night. The kids made us promise to bring them back and let them stay in the same house. Only drawback was how far the cabin is from the state park, grocery store, and restaurants. I knew that going in, but it did start to bother me on the trip more than I expected.

Second time
We had such a lovely time in this cute cottage! It’s our second time back for my bday.. the sounds of the creek while sittlng on the porch are relaxing. I did forget my therapy dog’s vest and leash so I’m hoping owner can mail to me and I pay the shipping cost, but no info on how to reach the host. Other wise everything was great

Refuge from the city
So remote and peaceful...an ideal get-away from frenetic city life! The kitchen is well-stocked with supplies and utensils. The deck overlooking the creek was the perfect setting for our Thanksgiving dinner.

Great getaway!
LOVE the location of this cabin! Wonderful retreat for quiet, privacy, and interaction with nature, and place to "unplug." LOVE the deck views and the creek, including the sounds of rushing water. Beautiful night skies, enjoyed from firepit, and only nature sounds. Cabin was so clean, and very well supplied. The guestbook/binder very helpful information for contact and activities. I slept better here than I have in weeks at my own home in the suburbs. It was the perfect getaway for us, and we will definitely return!

Wonderful cabin with a vuew!
We had a great 2 night stay in this cute, cozy cabin. It was peaceful and serene. The only sound heard at night was the babbling brook behind the home. It was nice to have coffee on the deck overlooking the stream, then walk down to the water and skip rocks. We made the most of the fire pit by making S'mores one night. It was a clean, comfortable stay, and everything we needed was provided. We highly recommend staying here!

Warning - Electricity Outages
The host fails to share information in the listing that is included in the Welcome Book relevant to guests of this cabin, especially regarding loss of electricity. Had we been aware, we could have prepared better for our Anniversary trip. I can only imagine how this would impact someone that requires electricity for medical or health needs. Within 30 min of arrival, the power went out. We understand things happen, so we continued to unload & get settled. We brought a cooler full of food, with only ice packs to get us to the cabin, as the listed amenities included a refrigerator. We had to drive 1+ miles back down the road to get cell service to contact the electric co - no ETA on restoration. After 3 hrs, we had to drive down to the local convenience store to get ice so our food wouldn't spoil. We couldn't make dinner. The electricity was out for 4 hrs. The next night, there was a storm, & the electricity went out again at 2:30am. When we awoke, the electricity was still out. We could not make breakfast or coffee. We drove down the road to call the electric co AGAIN - no ETA on restoration. When we returned to the cabin about 2:30pm, the electricity was STILL out. 45 hrs into our 4 day vacation, we had been without power for 16 hrs. We decided to return home a day early, as we had no idea when the electricity would be restored. Do not tell me the situation is what I make of it when there is no power, no a/c, etc. Truly unacceptable expectations of your guests.

Bday Get-away
My first time in BB. Wasnt familiar with the layout of everything to do. The cabin was a fair distance away from Hochatown and Broken Bow, but it worked in our favor. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle. The deck was utilized several times/day. We didnt mind the lack of cell service and limited internet. We actually like talking to each other and exploring. Will definitely stay here again, but will know better how to prepare.

Family vacation
We had the most amazing stay. We really appreciate getting to bring our fur babies. They are really small and ran everywhere. The only downside is the creek was dry. But our son found enough water for catching pearch. The laundry was all caught up except bedding. I swept the floors but didn’t mop. Again thank you so very much The Atkinson Family. We hope to be repeating the visit soon

The host with the most
We have traveled and stayed in more cabins than I can count. This was hands down our best experience. The host thought of EVERYTHING. I mean down to the final detail was well planned. You want to go hiking? There are hiking sticks provided. Rainy day stuck inside? Board games, books, movies and wi-fi. Want to cook? All the kitchen appliances and utensils you could need. Want to grill? Provided. Sit around a campfire and roast marshmallows? Utensils/chairs/firepit. Need to wash clothes? Laundry supplies. Have an extra guest? Cot. Absolutely great experience. Oh, it is so quiet that the locusts are deafening and we never realized there were so many stars. If you are wanting to get away from the hustle of Hochatown, this is the place.

It was very clean an easy to get into, was dissapponited at how far we really where from things. My mother who is in her 70s was very uncomfortable with how far out she was. Also it made it look like we where just a few steps from the water when acctualy you had to go down a very steap hill

It’s a beautiful property, but…
The area is beautiful. We absolutely loved the creek that runs directly behind the property. Our 3 year old daughter had so much fun in there. However, there were a few disappointments. The listing shows curtains on the French doors of the second bedroom, but there were none, so there wasn’t privacy. The second bedroom has a window unit, that doesn’t cool as well as the rest of the house, and the room felt very muggy. Also, whoever cleans didn’t check under the bunk beds, as there were food wrappers and a lunchable box left there. The listing shows WiFi is available for surfing only. It was completely nonexistent for us. I could not send out texts, calls were dropped, and there was absolutely no surfing to be had. That was a little worrisome.The property allows animals (we don’t have any), but we didn’t expect the bedding to have animal hair all throughout it. The washing machine smelled like mildew, so I think it needs a good cleaning. Last, but not least, the flies. So many flies. We still enjoyed the property for the most part, but it definitely could have been better.

Really enjoyed our stay! Very nice, clean cabin with essentials and wifi. A little further out than we thought but really loved that it was right on a beautiful little creek and secluded. We did lose power for a while when it rained but it did get turned back on within a few hours. Also, it was easy to find and maps took us right to it.

Excellent Getaway!!!
We had a most excellent long weekend stay in this cottage!! This is a perfect place to stay to just get away from it all and enjoy nature! The sound of the water rolling can be heard out back at all hours of the day and night. It is completely secluded and private. Everything we needed for cooking and cleaning was provided. Our little doggy girl had a great time in the fresh air and sniffing everything. 🙂 We loved seeing and hearing the wildlife in the area. No local TV reception, but there is a dvd player to keep entertained while inside. Furniture was very comfortable! An all around fantastic weekend!!!

Family vacation
This was the most amazing trip we had. The cabin was beautiful and we loved to hike around the woods near by. The kids and fur friend enjoyed the creek. We loved the quite and peacefulness around us. Thank you for the blessed week we had, and we loved the Godly decor. We will definitely be back.
