“Great stay! Was upgraded to nicer room on arrival. Comfy beds, lux bathroom, tea/coffee and fresh baked cookies - heaven! Walked to Amberley Black Horse pub for drinks & snacks (and board games) then back to hotel for their 5 course tasting menu - most enjoyable! ”
“Great hotel with pub and restaurant, in a tudor building from the 1700s. The staff were excellent, super friendly and gave me a lot of information about the area, things to do. Only drawback is that due to the age of the building there was a bit of noise from other rooms”

While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. It was a great place to stay after a 5,000 mile trip from the Western US and recover from jet lag before going on to meet friends and family elsewhere in the UK. (It’s about a hour from Heathrow). “The staff were really friendly and lovely and the stay was so value for money with breakfast included. The bed was also quite comfy and the room was nice and warm. The decor is a little outdated but that doesn't affect the stay at all. The pub was decent and although we didnt try the food, the menu looked great.”

"It's a great hotel very conveniently located in the Gatwick airport. It's very clean, the rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. The only negative thing is that the room we were given was so far away from the reception, we had a lot of suitcases so it was a bit tough to get there, it was quicker to get to the airport than the room. We are young so it wasn't too much of a problem for us. Overall a good stay and would stay there again."
"The only one gym machine is Out of service. They had a sign which says that they are going to fix it as soon as possible but it is not true... I stayed there for a month and same sign was there and nothing fixed. Also, be carefull if you are booking a saturday night because thay had parties until 1:30 am and if you have to wake up early in the morning it is impossible to sleep. They offer you to change your room but in 5th floor you can still hear the noise. It is not a serious hotel at all."
