We just stayed at this property last week. The property location is awesome, close to all site seeing and overlooking the lake was beautiful. My complaint is that the property was pretty filthy. The kitchen looked like it had not been cleaned. Everything was dirty and I'm not exaggerating, almost every dish was dirty. There was food on platters, coffee cups with coffee and lip marks, glasses had what looked like dirty fingers that had just drank out of them, pots and pans that had dirty handles, silverware all looked smudged and dirty. There is a beautiful Jenn-Aire oven and stove with food build-up on stovetop around the burners. The floors were dirty. Our shower still had the previous renters soap wrapper, open body wash, open tiny shampoo bottle, dirty shower door. Gross. I sent the owner pictures. The owner did offer to have someone come and re-clean the property but was having a hard time finding someone on a holiday weekend. By then we literally ran every dish and utensil through the dishwasher and cleaned our own shower. I asked the owner if he would refund our cleaning fee. He went radio silent on me. I felt like that would be the fair thing to do. I wasn't asking for anything more than that. All of this might have had more to do with the cleaning company than owner but I think it's horrible business to not even respond to me. The home just needs a little TLC. After we cleaned the place, our family had a wonderful time in a beautiful setting. Home has great potential.
