This property is unique and lovely but needs TLC. There are two main problems: lots of things are in disrepair and overall, it's not very comfortable. The inside furniture looks nice, but the materials and pillows are itchy! Wouldn't have been too much of a problem, but there are no throws or extra blankets around to cover up the itchy parts. In addition, I sat in two chairs that were not equipped to support a person. One has a busted through wicker seat and one has a back that is not sturdy. The bedroom linens were also sub-par. For the price of this rental, we expected nice sheets and bedding. The outside space was equally uncomfortable. There are plenty of chairs, but few little tables, no pillows, and nothing to lounge on. There is also zero landscaping, so you are surrounded by dead plants and weeds. As for the disrepair, several appliances were labeled as "do not use." When I tried to raise the blinds in the kitchen, the whole blind came crashing down on my wrist. They are nice wooden blinds, so ouch! The refrigerator looked clean and was empty, but the odor of rotten cantaloupe was so pungent we all held our breath every time we had to open the fridge. The handle of one of the bathroom drawers just came right off in my hand. The casita smelled musty, and we had to air it out for a day before anyone would sleep there. The price to rent this property indicates that it will be luxury accommodations, so we were disappointed that it was quite rustic and needs some TLC.
