Perfect Thanksgiving Retreat

Beautiful, amazing property!
Three adult couples spent a long weekend at The Ranch and we were all so taken with the beautiful property and grounds that we canceled our restaurant reservations two nights in a row to stay in and enjoy the home instead! The grounds, views and Lans aping were magnificent and nothing beats having morning coffee with the goats! Would definitely stay again and can't wait for an excuse to return!

The most perfect getaway!
We stayed at the Ranch to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday. I can’t imagine a more wonderful place to stay! The farmhouse was immaculate. The most comfortable furnishings, the prettiest grounds, and a great pool. The owners made us feel like part of the family and were readily available to give us recommendations or show us how to use everything in the house. They have the hospitality game down! We will definitely be staying here again next time we need a little getaway from LA. Thank you Bernadette and Greg!

Started off bad when I discovered [from the owners], the pool was to be shared. I insisted I didn't read this anywhere and we were not sharing the pool with strangers. Luckily they capitulated and it wasn't an issue. But it set a bad tone. The owners live on the property and conducted a 45 minute tour, establishing all the rules. Cameras everywhere. Not fun. Lost the first day to yellow jackets -- wife got stung on the face. Pointed this out to the owners, who must have known it was an issue since they live there, They remedied it the next day with traps. Beautiful home and setting, just back off a little.

Perfect in Every Way
The beauty of the Farmhouse cannot be overstated. The back yard, outdoor dining area, and pool provide stunning views of hills, mountains and vineyards. Bernadette should be a professional interior designer; The home is appointed with beautiful furnishings and comfy/cozy places to relax, sleep, and watch movies. We can’t stop taking pictures and have become obsessed with her taste and style. I could go on and on about the home and its every amenity, including a farm with llamas, goats and chickens (whom we visit every morning), but what puts this place over the top is the warmth and hospitality from the owners. Greg and Bernadette are so kind and generous. We don’t want to leave.

Wonderful stay
We had a really nice time at the ranch. Our girls (3,5) loved the animals and visited the chickens, goats and Llama’s daily. The pool was fantastic, and house was well appointed and very comfortable. Bernadette and Greg were great, and Fidencio and Maria were so nice and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing trip away!
We could not love this place more! The views. The pool. The outdoor dining. The beds. The open grass. The farm. We truly felt like we were a million miles from home! We loved it so much and will definitely be coming back! The hosts were incredible and so attentive and made sure every detail was perfect. These pictures do not do the property justice. It is far bigger and more beautiful than this!

Amazing Getaway!
We no longer need to look at or visit any other places, we will be returning to the Ranch at Canyon Ridge for all future ladies weekends! The attention to detail is one of the aspects that make this property so amazing. The view is breath taking, the house extremely comfortable and it is obvious the owners take great pride in their property and truly enjoy sharing it with others. Los Olivos and Solvang provide countless activities for entertainment if needed but you can definitely make a weekend just enjoying the backyard, the pool and the fantastic view! Walking the llamas, pygmy goats and gathering eggs is offered and is a must, so much fun! We can't wait to return!

Perfect getaway!
Us five girls had an incredible time at this impeccable property. The house was pristine and loved lounging by the beautiful pool with the most outstanding View Bernadette and Greg were perfect hosts and loved the tour of their farm animals and loved having a separate spa house on the property for amazing facials and massage. We feel that we didn’t stay long enough to really enjoy the amenities but we will be back five stars all the way !

Wonderful stay at the Ranch!
My wife and I stayed at the Ranch with our son, daughter in law and their kids ages 2 and 6. Read no further-just book this property! We were met by Bernadette for a comprehensive tour and introduction to the property. The property was more impressive than described in the online write up. First morning was a walk with the goats, lamas and more goats. We also gathered eggs from the chicken coops. What a treat for the grandkids! Greg and Bernadette took multiple photos for us to enjoy. The house is really over the top. Every room is perfectly decorated. Views are beautiful and we really enjoyed the pool . Again, all I can say is book it !

Fantastic Farm Stay
The best VRBO experience we've ever had! The house was impeccably clean and professionally decorated inside and out. The views from all around the property are breathless. A complete "Farm Experience" but in a total private and elegant way. Complete with chickens, goats and llamas all in their designated areas, you could choose your level of interaction from not at all to feeding, petting and running around with them. It was a blast! Our Hosts were wonderful in every way. They were warm, welcoming and so helpful in answering all of our questions. We felt completely relaxed and at home. Definitely doing this again!

Gorgeous, sprawling gem of a property in the wine country!
What a gorgeous home, property, and truly lovely owners/hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away in the wine country in the beautiful, cozy yet spacious home of Bernadette and Greg. They were so welcoming, so helpful and accommodating. Upon arrival we were surprised with a delicious bottle of red wine. The home itself has so much to offer. Plenty of space for the whole family (ours was a group of 9), with three very private bedrooms, two en-suite and one with a full bath just across the hall. Every room has amazing views of the expansive landscape, and the rolling hills of Santa Ynez/Solvang. Although the address is in Solvang, you truly are away from the town in a good way. It’s quiet, with a beautiful pool. We stayed in the main house but were able to tour the other two rentals on the large property, which you really don’t see from the main house. They are just as charming, and would be perfect for families/friends beyond ten people. The backyard is just beyond. We enjoyed a lovely lunch outdoors at the large rustic table and stayed in for dinner since it was so nice to just be there. Wine tasting is just down the road, minutes from Los Olivos, which is one of our favorite areas to visit. The other amazing ammenity they offered was to meet their wonderful animals- goats and llamas! My daughter was in heaven! They are the sweetest animals and the nicest people. Just don’t make eye contact with a llama lol. We truly were sad to leave after such a relaxing stay and are looking forward to a future visit. Definitely book this home or one of the cottages!

Absolutely stunning!
This property is one I will absolutely be returning to! The owners did not miss any details when designing this house and their hospitality was beyond gracious, leaving us with a truly remarkable experience. The public spaces were designed perfectly to accommodate large group settings, while there were also plenty of private spaces for people to break away from the group. The kitchen is equipped with anything one might need, the pool/jacuzzi (and water slide) provided great fun during the hot daytime hours and the open lawn on one end of the house was a perfect spot to do yoga. Can't forget to mention the animals that live on the property... I won't give too much away, except that they are SO cute, and again, our hosts were so kind to take us on a walking tour to visit all of them. This house is highly recommended!

Beautiful stay on the Ranch
When you are sad to leave, you know it was a good trip! The home was perfect and the pictures do not give it justice. It was impeccably decorated with beautiful and tasteful antiques. Coffee each morning outside over looking Sant Ynez valley, and dinner and wine outside on the farm table in the evening made our stay perfect. The kids really enjoyed feeding the goats, walking the llamas, and picking the fresh eggs from the chickens each morning. Of course they want to move here now! The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, spices, seasonings, and everything you need for cooking! We even picked some tomatoes off the vine for our salad! We had no problem charging our devices, they had charging stations all over the house. The pool was a blast, not heated, but refreshing after a hot day. We loved the lawn too, perfecly manicured. The kids loved playing tag, croquet, and the guys placed bocce ball. We definitely want to come back! Wine Country Paradise
Pictures cannot properly capture the beauty of the property and the area! The house is beautiful! It has everything you could possibly need and is very high tech! The grounds and pool area are peaceful and beautifully landscaped and the views are breathtaking! If that is not enough, there are goats and chickens and llamas on the property with fresh eggs every day! To top it off the owners are the nicest people I have ever worked with in a rental process. They were very friendly and helpful and extremely responsive!

The most amazing weekend getaway
We came here for a bachelorette weekend with 10 girls and had the most amazing weekend ever. The home is absolutely beautiful the pictures don’t even do it justice. The owners were more than gracious and wonderful hosts. They gave us a tour of the whole property and we got to meet all the animals. My favorite part of the whole place has to be the views from the patio out back. I could still and look at the rolling hills surrounding all day. You can also enjoy the view from the beautiful pool. You are so close to several cute towns so the location is great as well. I am already planning when we will be able to return for another visit. I could not recommend this place more highly!

Best view of wine country from the best house and owned by the nicest people in wine country
The pictures on this listing does not in the least do justice to just how amazing this property is! The house is expertly decorated with high end everything: kitchen appliances, technology: TVs, automation, Alexa, Tesla charger, drone picture of you and family (if the owner is there and you want it). The furniture is comfortable, the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are all great! The pool/spa is amazing and lets you soak in the water while soaking up the view. This is also great for families with kids. The pool has a slide. Frogs come out at night. They have goats, chickens, llamas for you to check out too! I really could just go on and on. I promise you will not find a better place in the Santa Ynez area. The only con on the house is we had to leave...but we'll be back. Thank you Greg and Bernadette! P.S. They have a couple of house warming surprises when you arrive, but I won't steal their thunder :)

Breathtaking property and views
Amazing French-country property! Incredible views, farm with animals, nature, piece, pool, feels secluded and far away from the city, but is only 10 minutes drive from Solvang. Had an amazing time with entire family.
