First Week Was A Nightmare!

Property was beautiful, clean, stocked, and in a great location. I was notified that the refrigerator was broken an hour before check-in on Tuesday. The rentor would not purchase a temporary refrigerator (local options at less cost than I was spending for a day) and relocated a small mini fridge without a working freezer upstairs. I informed the rentor that I needed a working refrigerator and freezer for the expected group of six adults for the holiday and was told they were working on it. On Thursday I was told that a repairman could come to fix it on Saturday (5 days after check in) and was asked if I wanted a rep for the rentor to be present during the repair which I affirmed. The repair/rebuild took nearly 10 hours on 2 Saturday visits spanning from 9:30am to 7:30pm; and a Sunday visit at 11am. A representative from the rentor was only available for half of this effort - so I oversaw. They were only able to fix the refrigerator, not the freezer. On Monday a person arrived with little notice to install a temporary freezer. Next an electrician showed up with no notice to fix an outlet. That was our first week - meals eaten out and significant disruption from repeated maintenance calls. On Saturday we were not able enjoy the area (or even have a decent meal) as the entire day was spent watching over repairmen. They should have brought a temp refrigerator and saved us seven days of pain.

Great views of the Santa Barbara channel from multiple rooms

This was a great place to stay! It is walking distance to Shoreline Park, where you can walk along the cliffs above the ocean and see the Santa Barbara pier in the distance. The kitchen was about as well stocked as I have ever seen. The backyard had a cool pond above the lawn. The bedrooms with all of the king beds, made it a comfortable stay for everyone. The fireplaces were also a nice touch. If I ever win the lotto, I would buy it!

Christmas in CA

Three generations loved our time together in this beautiful house with more amenities than expected! The location is perfect to downtown, beach access, mountains. We did it all! Enjoyed the views. Ate most meals at “home”! We visited Calvary Chapel church and felt welcome. Loved the praise band and the pastors. We had a wonderful sea food lunch at Boathouse at Hendry’s beach. We visited the UCSB campus where my daughter-in-law is getting her PhD! Such a great way to celebrate Christmas with family! Back to the awesome house-the beds were so comfortable, the hot tub so relaxing, the kitchen had everything needed to make great meals at home. Loved the dining table with seating for 8 as we all gathered together for meals and games. Four of the five bikes worked well and were used everyday for sunrise and sunsets, and lots of exercise (for some!). We played darts and ping pong and enjoyed sitting by the fountain outside to read a book. Fountain was a little stinky at times. The hosts were very responsive and friendly! Would love to come back! It’s a big investment in family memories, but so worth it!

Beautiful house

My family had a great stay at the blue vista! The location was very close to the water, downtown areas and grocery store. The neighborhood was quiet and had views of the ocean, we loved the big bay windows in the living room. The house was big and spread out which made it nice to still have privacy. The kitchen was well stocked, especially loved the espresso machine, and everything was clean! We enjoyed the back patio, hot tub and ping pong/darts! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home with lots of offer!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Blue Water Vista. The house and property were perfect for our group. We loved the proximity to the ocean and to shops as we walked in the neighborhood every day. You can’t go wrong with this home. We highly recommend it!

Great location, close to town and beaches. House was spacious, nice for everyone to have their own BR and bath. Having a washer and dryer is a game changer for packing!! Nice to have the ping pong table, dart board, exercise machine and bikes! We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Wish we could have stayed longer! We will return :)

Lovely house! Very comfortable and fully equipped for cooking a few meals which we did. The roof deck is a nice bonus. The weather was stormy most of our visit so we didn't use the large hot tub there. The windows are large and provide great territorial and ocean views. Lots of levels and stairs which didn't bother us or our dogs , but would be a challenge for someone less able. This would be a perfect house for a reunion or family gathering. We really enjoyed our stay!

Home for the holidays

Our extended family, six adults and two pre-teens, converged in this lovely home for the 2022 Christmas season. The property is well appointed with everything you need. It is conviently located to everything, including the park and beach. We had a few issues that the property management team addressed efficiently. Highly recommend.

Serene-Pet friendly Santa Barbara retreat

A Family Affair

Beautiful open sunny home in pristine condition. Easy beach access, 4 bikes for gadding about, hot tub for chillin out. If you do family meals the kitchen is well equipped (utensils, blender, coffee makers, and cookware-including larger pots) and has room for the whole family to help with prep. Indoor and out door dining to seat the whole family. Lovely places to sit and talk and ping pong table for fun. Multiple bathrooms so grooming for a wedding was uncomplicated. Our family has enjoyed many events together but the luxury of your home was icing on the cake. Note of caution- the lovely wood flooring with changing levels (step down from kitchen to dinning area and coming down the stair with quirky shaped steps ) caused two stumbles but no falls. Maybe some bright colored tape on the edge of the step would be a more distinct visual alert.

Great getaway!

This is an amazing property. It has great views and is a short walk to the beach. The house is very comfortable and it has everything you need. We used the basement with ping pong tables, the bicycles, the games, and the hot tub. The kitchen is well equipped too. It was our home away from home. We will definitely be coming back.

The Most Absolutely Perfect Stay for our Daughter's Wedding!

Blue Water Vista was absolutely the most fantastic and amazing house! We stayed for10 fabulous days for our daughter's wedding and it could not have been more perfect! Our daughter got married in Santa Barbara last weekend at The Hotel Californian at the base of State Street and when we were planning our trip from Florida we were looking for a large beautiful house, close to downtown to accommodate our family and to be a home base during the wedding weekend. I cannot say enough things about how perfect this house was. To start the location cannot be beat, the Mesa is a beautiful neighborhood only 5 min to downtown by car, 10 min by bike and also just a short walk to the beach. The house is situated on a hill which allows spectacular views of the ocean from almost every room in the house. From the primary bedroom upstairs I would open my eyes every morning to the most spectacular sunrises over the water and to add to that when you got the up, the rest of the house was bathed in beautiful morning sunlight. The house was incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated and super comfortable!! It easily and comfortably accommodated 8 of us in the 4 king bedrooms and we even used the loft day bed a couple of nights for extra guests. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable and so cozy with down comforters and pillows! The primary bedroom even has a gas fireplace on a timer that was so wonderful to fall asleep to every night. The hot tub on the roof with views of the ocean was also a wonderful added bonus! In addition to how gorgeous the house was it was also outfitted with everything you could possibly want to make your stay easy and effortless. From every pot and pan you could need, to 3 different coffee makers, to tin foil, to scissors, to detergent to 4 bikes (with bike locks) and the list goes on, they really thought of everything to make our stay so absolutely fantastic and carefree. I can't thank you enough for this perfect house that made our daughter's wedding week all the more spectacular!! We will definitely and can't wait to come back!

Amazing Santa Barbara getaway

This is such an incredible home. It comfortably held our family group and was a gorgeous place to stay. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and the view is spectacular. We loved soaking in the hot tub and also being able to walk to the beach. The amenities are incredible - from bikes to beach gear. We would love to come back. Highly recommend this property for your Santa Barbara stay.
