Ideal place
Spent six weeks at this lovely villa. Toured everywhere within 1.5 hr drive (Note: Do not even think about NOT getting a car!) and Rome and Florence by train. Great location as most of the must see Tuscany towns are and easy day trip. The Poggibonsi-San Gimignano train station is less than 10 minute drive and you can park car there overnite. The villa is exactly as illustrated online. The owners are super nice and super responsive. Catarine the property manager was extremely helpful and responded very quickly to any and all of our requests/questions. The owner even made 5 of us a delicious ragu the nite we came in from Cinque Terre and were worn out! She is a very lovely dear person. I would mot hesitate to recommend Villa Carol. Again tho you will need a car! Oh and a great grocery store is a 3 minute drive (can walk to it but not pedestrian friendly!). All in all it was absolutely perfect!

Perfect stay!
We had a fabulous time at Villa Carol. The outdoor area, pool and the views are amazing and very well maintained. The house is very comfortable and clean. The owner Lucia & the manager Caterina met us at check in to show us around. We had the opportunity to meet the owners Gabriel, Lucia, and their daughter Caroline. They were very responsive to any questions before and during our stay. Lucia made us lunch one afternoon and it was amazing. The location is great for visiting many towns in Tuscany. This property is in a quiet area very close to a supermarket and just a few miles from San Gimignano. Grazie Mille for a wonderful stay!

Perfect location!
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Carol. Property manager Caterina was very helpful answering questions and making arrangements for us. We had the opportunity to meet Gabriele and Lucia the owners. Lovely people that want to make sure you are happy. This property is in a quiet area very close to a supermarket and just a few miles from the beautiful medieval town of San Gimignano. Florence and Siena are within a 45 mins drive. The property has plenty of space and wonderful views of the city from the outdoor pool / patio area. If you want a special treat have Caterina book a private chef to come and prepare an amazing dinner…perfecto!!

Idéal pour rayonner en Toscane
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la villa Carol, idéalement localisée dans un rayon où San Gimignano, Florence et Sienne, …. sont à portée de main. L’accès à la villa, l’accueil et les facilités d’enregistrement sont autant d’atouts supplémentaires. Nous avons également apprécié la situation (idéale pour un séjour au calme), avec des espaces intérieurs spacieux (grandes chambres) et des volumes extérieurs tout aussi adaptés à de grands groupes (piscine, jardin , terrasse). Vues agréables sur Pogibbonsi. A savoir que la villa est mitoyenne, qu’elle est en rez-de-chaussée (avec un étage habité), que l’ensemble est totalement calme et sans vis à vis. Un très bon séjour partagé par tous.

Perfect spot to relax and explore Toscany
The house is perfectly located in the middle of Tuscany. 40 minutes to Florence, 30 to Siena, 50 to Valle Orcha. Endless wineries around and great restaurants. The villa with it's three rooms and three bathrooms gives good privacy to everyone. the kitchen is well equipt for big cooking while to still have a grill in the garden for a barbecue. the pool is the highlight and the lounge is inviting for relaxing or having a drink. all in all a fantastic location worth the money.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful villa in Tuscany. The garden with its fabulous pool, comfortable and covered lounge area with spectacular views was out of this world. There was generous space for lounging in the sun as well as in the shade. The villa was spacious, well stocked and spotlessly clean. Communication with the very friendly owners was easy. They provided a perfect service. We can only recommend this outstanding place.

Good but not great
a group of six of us stayed here recently for a week. the villa is easy to find and in a good location to get around and there are some great restaurants in the surrounding area. If you're looking for absolute privacy, then this probably isn't the place for you. The owners live on the top floor and the villa you rent is on the bottom floor. the owners have a private terrace at the front of the property while you have the outdoor area at the rear but they do need to access that area to put rubbish into the bins. The outdoor area is nice with plenty of seating. The pool is nice but was very cold during our stay. There is a hot tub but this was turned off, empty and hadn't been cleaned. In the villa, there were some basics like salt and pepper etc which is very welcome. We've rented villas previously where there was nothing. There was complimentary wine left which is always welcome and was very nice. The kitchen is modern , while the rest of the property is quite traditional. We found there weren't many plug sockets in the rooms but in the living room there was a multiway adapter. There were a number of slight fittings where bulbs weren't working which gave a perception of a lack of maintenance. We booked a vineyard tour to Montepulciano which was good but was slightly disappointing for the cost. There was no discussion about vineyards to visit etc or any information beforehand. We also booked the cookery class which was fantastic. We would highly recommend.

Wonderful stay
The villa is in a residential neighborhood outside Poggibonsi. Conveniently located to explore the Chianti region and travel north to Firenze and south to Siena and everything in between. The owner Lucia and the manager Caterina were very accommodating. The outdoor living space has beautiful views of vineyards and is a peaceful place to wake up with coffee or end the day with a glass of Chianti. The pool was very refreshing. A washer and dryer were a big plus. Highly recommend if you want to stay away from the crowds and like to drive from town to town.

Amazing villa
I stayed at Villa Carol for two weeks with a group of eight friends. We communicated with Catarina, the property manager, and she was very quick to respond to all our texts. She arranged a cooking class at the villa, along with chef prepared meals at the villa and several day trips to surrounding areas. The owners, Gabriele and his wife, Luccia, brought over a fantastic homemade ragu and pasta for us that we all enjoyed for lunch one day. They also responded quickly to a couple of issues we had with the ice maker and washer/dryer. Also, it was very convenient to have a great supermarket a mile up the road. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and the location of the villa was perfect for taking various day trips. We highly recommend this villa.

Quiet villa with all the amenities necessary for a relaxing getaway.
Our host was very pleasant and the villa was exceptionally clean. The area was quiet and safe, with many sights easy to drive to. There were several medieval and walled cities that were charming and not crowded with tourists. More popular (and crowded) towns, such as San Gimgnano, Sienna, Lucca, Pisa, and Florence were also withing driving distance.

Wonderful and relaxing stay!
We had 2 couples that rented the villa for a week and it was wonderful! The pictures show off the home and grounds exactly as they are. The outside space was fantastic and where we spent most of our time! The views at night are gorgeous! We had bedrooms on opposite sides of the house which gave each couple some privacy. One thing I will say if you are a light sleeper you may want to pack earplugs as you can hear the TV and footsteps above you of the owners. We use a noise app on our phone that helped because I am a super light sleeper. The kitchen is stocked with everything that you need and we enjoyed cooking in a couple of nights. I will say that you really cannot walk to the supermarket or restaurants so you will want to stock up on what you will need. We also bought supplies in the towns we visited during the day to cook at the villa in the evening. You can book your travel/day trips with their amazing driver Sonia but try to book those in advance of your arrival so it works with your schedule. We loved the Chianti winer tour that we booked as well as the chef dinner at the villa. The chef and the food was incredible!

After a long weary trip, a genuine warm welcome from Lucia and Caterina set the tone for a week's holiday we will forever remember with fondness . The Villa was spotless and the garden and pool immaculately maintained. We spent all our time in the idyllic outdoor living area, relaxing, swimming, enjoying local produce and admiring the view. Sehr zuvorkommende, herzliche und unkomplizierte Vermieter. Das Anwesen war ein Traum und der neue Pool sehr erfrischend und sauber. Jeden Morgen sieht jemand nach dem Rechten beim Aussenbereich und mitte Woche wurde sogar das Haus gereinigt, ohne Aufpreis. Die Räume sind alle klimatisiert. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Schöne Toskana-Villa mit wunderbarem Aussenbereich
Allgemein: Die Unterkunft entspricht genau den Angaben und den Fotos. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und der Aussenbereich und Pool wird sorgfältig gereinigt. Alles in Allem eine sehr gepflegte Anlage, wo man sich wohlfühlen kann. Die Gastgeber sind sehr dezent im Hintergrund. Räumlichkeiten/Bäder: sehr sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet und überall Klimaanlagen, die sich einfach regulieren lassen. Küche: Sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Grosser Kühlschrank mit Eiswürfel-Maker u. Weinfach. Notwendige Küchenutensilien und Küchengeräte sind vorhanden. Parkplätze: Im Innenbereich der Anlage. Zufahrt per Funksender durchs Tor. Waschmaschine/Trockner: Eine Waschküche ist vorhanden und die Geräte sind gepflegt. WLAN: Funktioniert tadellos Aussenbereich/Pool: Grosszügiger Gartenbereich, sehr gepflegt, Pool ist sehr sauber, Grill mit Grillkohle vorhanden. Genug Liegestühle. Überdachte grosszügige Veranda, was den Aufenthalt im Freien absolut angenehm macht. (Schatten und leichtes Lüftchen) Lage: Einkaufsmöglichkeiten mit dem Auto in 2-3 Minuten. Schöne Aussicht auf Poggibonsi. Gut gelegen, um Tagesausflüge in die umliegenden Städte/Dörfer und Golfplätze zu machen. Wir - fünfköpfige Familie (Eltern / Jungmannschaft 18, 16, 13) haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können die Villa absolut empfehlen.

We had a fabulous time at this villa. The outdoor living area and view are amazing. The house is comfortable and clean. The owner & manager met us at check in and showed us around. Everything was great.
This villa was flawless, and I usually can find something wrong when I stay someplace but nothing wrong here. Terrific location with excellent restaurants in Pogibbons I. Very close to San Gimignano. Beautiful views with the most wonderful breakfast table outside. The pool was clean and lovely though only about 4 feet deep. The managers got us a brand new drip coffee maker right away and there was also a coffee maker for espresso. All in all we would recommend this place to anyone.

Italy is fantastic!
Great property, the owner/property manager met us, went over all the details, she set up dinners at the villa, wineries, Restaurants and it’s the perfect place to explore everything from Lucca, Bologna, Florence, Siena and all in between a great villa for a fantastic vacation, bravo!!!!

Very clean house, enough space, full airco. Very well organized, warm welcome and all basic needs / material are available for the start up as well the total stay of your holiday Nice city's are reachable by car (Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano ...) Very nice & helpful owners. Unfortunately my husband had an accident and had to stay the remaining holiday period in the hospital. The concern; warmth, flexibility and help from Caterina, Lucia & Gabriele was incredible !!!
