“This place is beautiful and the staff are extremely accommodating and helpful. The experience of staying this close to the rainforest is unlike anything (though it might not be for everyone - there were some pretty big bugs!). We woke up to the sound of toucans every morning. The drive from here to Parque Manuel Antonio is about 45 minutes and is very easy. Note: unlike most places in Costa Rica we found that said they required a 4x4, this place absolutely requires a 4x4. We could not make it...

“The house is great, finding it was a challenge as the google pin wasn’t accurate. The 4x4 recommendation is no joke. We regretted not having gone food shopping beforehand. Once you are there, you won‘t want to leave. Beds, kitchen equipment, pool are all magnificent! We did have a power cut in the night which caused the electronics to beep. So sad we only had 3 nights in the house.”

“We were rewarded for enduring the long drive from San Jose airport to Portalon with this beautiful vacation spot. Kids arrived with jaws dropped, the outdoor kitchen & dining area was spacious next to the pool. View of the ocean and watching the tropical rain squalls pass over - stunning. A perfect getaway. Kitchen stocked with ample equipment to cook, small salt shaker, no other spices. Scant containers to hold leftovers, but that was not a priority. Definitely need 4wd to get up to the...
