We spent a week in November 2023 to view colleges and see our daughter who has been living in San Diego since June. The area was well suited for our family. Bike rentals & great walking area oceanside. Easy eateries within walking distance-CVS & RALPHS grocery walkable. Small, enjoyable farmers market across the street on Tuesdays -we got fruits, veggies & flowers for our Thanksgiving meal. A variety of food vendors for dinner too. We like Duck Dive,Kono's, The Baked Bear but there are so many places to eat nearby.
The condo itself was spacious enough for us - two queen beds were very comfortable, our daughter slept on convertible couch. Our oldest daughter stayed with us two nights and she there was large air mattress provided by the host. It was clean although a little rough around the edges-totally fine for us but if you are bothered by a little rust on a light fixture or edge of tub just keep that in the back of your mind.
Plenty of space for clothes in closets & dressers. The balcony overlooked the pier, walkway and a restaurant/bar as mentioned in other reviews the club could get a little loud but it did not bother us at all-it was actually sort of fun to people watch. The beach toys, chair & umbrella were in rough shape so we did not use them. We were grateful for the 5 beach towels. liked that there a was a laundry room just steps away and the common area had chairs to relax in. Off street, covered, secure parking was a huge plus. We'd stay again.
