The location is great, the staff is friendly, my room was spacious and clean with a large bathroom and everything I needed for my stay over a long weekend. It's perfectly located directly on the riverwalk, within stumbling distance of half a doezen decent restaurants, and decent walking distance of everything else in the riverwalk area (including the Henry B. Gonzales convention center, and the Alamo!). The only problem I experienced was that there was an apparently very popular nightclub DIRECTLY adjacent to the entryway of the hotel. On Friday and Saturday night, getting home late from a convention, I had to fight my way through a crowd of somewhat riotous club attendees waiting to get into or being kicked out of this club to get to the front entryway of the hotel. For some this may be a good thing (if you're planning on doing that kind of carousing during your stay). For others, such as myself, it was intrusive and loud. The noise was greatly diminished inside the hotel, but still present so keep in mind that if you're a light sleeper that you may wish to request a room on a higher floor, on the opposite side of the building.
