My sister & I & our 3 adult daughters came to this island hoping for a relaxing beach experience. I received very little info for checking in, besides the codes to get in the door & parking passes. There was no info about beach access, Wi-fi, local attractions, etc., as we've always had at other rentals. There were stairs everywhere, no elevators, so if you can't navigate stairs, this place is NOT for you. The sliding glass door leading to the deck did not lock & the property manager was aware of it. In the guest room where I was sleeping, there were little black hairs all over the bedding, which appeared to be dog hair, even though this is a pet-free unit.
Although the pics show that the unit is right on the beach, what it doesn't tell you is that you can't get to the beach unless it's low tide. Even then, it's not the kind of beach you want to be on. THAT kind of beach is close by, but only accessible by a 7-8 min. golf cart ride down the road, which we had to figure out on our own, btw.
The pics are deceiving - the place is tiny.
All in all, this was NOT the vacation we were expecting, & I have been a Vrbo customer for at least 20 years. The amount of money we paid for this unit was not worth the hassle.
I was able to contact the property manager, Marnie, who was somewhat helpful, but I felt like I was just another problem she had to deal with. She seemed overwhelmed & unsure how to help at times.
