This was our fourth visit to the South Carolina coast and it was very nice. This home has two areas to gather and each bedroom has its own bath. They recently replaced the downstairs carpeting with laminate, and it looks nice and is less of a worry with pets.
I gave the listing four stars because the kitchen is described as well equipped. But to be fair, we cooked Thanksgiving dinner. My recommendation would be that if you plan to cook, bring measuring spoons and cups, serving pieces, and storage containers. There are plenty of plates, cups, and flatware, in addition to spatulas and large spoons.
The kitchen did have a Keurig and a regular coffee maker, a blender, a food processor, and hand and stand mixers. The oven is a convection oven. It has nice work areas where two or three people can work.
We enjoyed using the golf carts and riding the bikes on the beach. Most people are using golf carts to get around the island.
We bought the Fripp Island club cards for everyone in our party thinking we would go out for dinner at least two times. As it turned out, we only needed two passes (two people played golf, and we got carry out one evening). We were there in November and only one island restaurant was open after 5 pm. If you are visiting in the summer when you would use the pools and snack bars, the cards would probably be essential, but I would probably wait until I got there to see how many I really needed.
If you are not familiar with Fripp Island, be sure to buy what you need before you get there. It is about a 30-minute drive for groceries.
This house is lovely and the landscaping makes it very private. At night, it was really quiet and peaceful. We loved our week there. Fripp Island is beautiful.
