“Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. “About 5 minutes walk from Rye old town, markets, shops and restaurants. Hotel, although a little jaded round the edges decoration wise, was lovely and clean and comfortable. Bedrooms were a good size, comfortable beds and pillows and bathrooms very clean. All public areas were clean and tidy. Staff were very pleasant and couldn't do enough for you. Good bar with an area outside with seating overlooking the river. And, breakfast was wonderful and many options. Would stay here again if down in Rye...
