Overall a lovely property - quite comfortable house, very comfortable king size bed in master. House sits back from road so is completely quiet inside. Kitchen well stocked with appliances, dishes, cookware, organic spices. Large yard very suitable for dogs - no fence but lots of grassy space, great for well behaved dog dogs trained to come when called. BUT, we arrived after midnight and could not access the house as the key code did not work. It was the coldest night of the year this winter, 5º, and we were sitting in our car trying to find a phone number for VRBO to get help. Anyone who has ever used VRBO will know they do not want you to call them as evidenced by the fact that they make their phone number SO DIFFICULT to find. When you do find it, none of the choices are "cannot access property." I tried first to call the EVOLVE rental host listed in my reservation, but that went to voicemail. I never heard from her the whole week we were in the rental. Once I found the VRBO phone number and reached a live person, she was very helpful but it took more than 10 minutes total just to get to speak to someone. Then she had to get a rep from EVOLVE on the line to help me. Answer: the key code had been "updated!" Are you kidding me? I have every email from VRBO and EVOLVE pertaining to this reservation and none of them is the one with 'oh, by the way we have "updated" key code.' Other issue: garbage/recycling piled high in kitchen and outside cans - nowhere to go with our refuse.
