Beautiful property
The cabin itself and the views from the porch were absolutely beautiful. Checking in/out was easy, we had next to no hassles throughout the entire process. The only downside was a bit of residual pet hair on some of the blankets and pillows in the cabin, but when I talked with the hosts they said they would definitely be taking care of that for future guests, so props to them for a quick response.

Pleasant Stay
This is a great property. We wish we were able to use the fire ring at night, but there was no fuel cannister or hose, and the propane tanks at the grill were locked. The property manager did not reply to my text message.

Stormy Stay
Great views! Severe thunderstorms made for great views over the mountains. Loved the house. The master bed is really high. Too high for those of us vertically challenged. Great kitchen and plenty of bowls and utensils. The grill was filthy and took some time to clean but worked well. Comfortable place to vacation with friends!

Listing a little misleading
First impressions are what matters. We opened the front door and it smelled musty and stale like it hadn't been rented for a while. The location is great and the view is just a good. Kitchen has been updated. The disappointments were: Wasn't informed we couldn't use propane firepit. King bed has a matter topper that makes it super high AND the bed is not in good shape. The other two rooms are both full size and not good for two adults. One of those bedrooms had a silky cover on the foundation which caused the mattress to slide if you tried to sit on it to put your shoes on. The couch has several torn seams and needs replacing. The combination of blinds on the large windows look like they were placed there to make it work even though they aren't the right sizes. Maybe the owners are in the middle of updating but the listing and the respective pictures presented something much more appealing. Overall our stay was great but I would just encourage they to reevaluate how they list this property. I also called Hummingbird upon arrival with a couple of questions and I didn't receive great customer service. They just shared the "matter of fact" information and that was it. The notebook for the home should also be written for the specific home and not a standardized book for all Hummingbird properties.

Perfect getaway!
We really enjoyed this property. You cant beat the view of the mountain from the deck. The kitchen was great for cooking family meals and we typically ate outside to enjoy the views. Elk bugling all over the valley was a neat experience. My kids really enjoyed the cozy loft. We will absolutely book here again

Great house, everything was just as presented. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans/untensils/baking dishes/bowls/dinnerware etc....didnt need anything. Grill is well seasoned and knocked out great steaks. View and deck amazing. master bed needs to be replaced - its junk, the hump in middle is awful. I wont go back until thats replaced. Other reviews mentioned it, we were hoping this was dealt with......the sponge pad sucks - anyway, y'all get the message Other than that, its an amazing place, i grew up in the Tahoe area, ruidoso is amazing and its own stunning mountains are a pleasure.

Wonderful
This place will be my go-to for any Ruidoso trips. A couple minor things that are easy fixes--the garbage disposal was not working and the kitchen sink stunk and the dining room needs a lamp so there's better lighting in the evenings. The views cannot be beat. Location was wonderful. Absolutely wonderful house!!

This property was dreamy. The view out of the terrace was astonishing, the little twin beds above the kitchen were adorable, and the deer visiting each morning made the entire experience feel like a dream. We were able to share the cabin with friends and our kids made many wonderful memories.

Beautiful Home with View
The house was beautiful with a lovely view. Very clean with comfortable furnishings. We would stay there again. However, my only caveat to other renters is that the master bed was not very comfortable for us, as it was one of those beds that requires a step ladder to get into and had the kind of foam mattress that dips on either side, pushing you towards the middle. We’re a bit of an older couple so it’s possible others wouldn’t mind that as we did. Also, the property owner was very upfront about the amount of amenities provided, but it would have been nice if they had been a bit more generous as to some of the creature comforts provided (only one hand soap provided for three sinks, no body wash for the showers, no additional trash bags, etc.). For such a beautiful and not inexpensive home, it would have been nice to have those items provided. But overall, it was a beautiful property, very clean and well maintained, and we would stay there again.

Potentially great property
The house itself is nice. The view is stunning. The bathrooms were spotless. A broom was provided to sweep up the old, dried food from under the front of the stove. The feather duster provided was not adequate for dealing with the thick dust on all of the baseboards and lamp shades, or the cobwebs on several of the walls and corners. This property is in desperate need of a deep cleaning. As for the king-sized bed, people need to understand that memory foam mattresses break down, and get softer and softer until laying on them is like falling into a hole. This mattress should have been replaced a year ago. My wife and I were here for our 20-th anniversary, and wound up sleeping in different rooms just to some sleep on a somewhat comfortable bed. If they do some serious cleaning and update the king mattress, it would be a 5-star.

Great location
The house is in a great location . Only a few minutes from hiking , shopping and restaurants . The house is not as remote as the pictures suggest , however the location was very peaceful and we saw deer and horses in the neighborhood . I would stay here again !
