Great Location!
This cozy two bedroom one bath lakefront home met all of our needs! Situated at the quiet, less-developed end of Wanaksink Lake, the home features two kayaks, paddles, life jackets, a rowboat, a fire pit, plenty of wood generously provided by the home owner, a wheelbarrow to transport the wood, Adirondack chairs with seat cushions, fishing poles and a tackle box, an outdoor grill, outdoor shower, and a picnic table with umbrella. The kitchen has everything you’ll need except food. There’s a washer and dryer, too. There’s a tight shower, but the water pressure is good and it gets hot enough. The air conditioner will cool the entire place, but you need to keep the bedroom doors open to maintain the temperature in them. We will gladly stay here again in the future!

just as fantastic the second time
We first stayed at this wonderful house in summer 2022 and enjoyed it so much that we booked a return trip in 2024. It was just as delightful, and we would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing, beautiful stay by a lake. The host was gracious and responsive and everything was exactly as described. We will almost certainly be returning again!

Beautiful and peaceful location!
We could not be more pleased. The cottage is lovely and well appointed. It was peaceful, restful and beautiful. We will be back to this exact location again. Loved it. The only slight downside is the comfort of the bed. But otherwise, perfect.

Excellence in Simplicity
We spent our wedding anniversary here dazzled by the lake and autumn changing trees. The quiet and scenery fueled tons of inspiration for us and got our creative juices flowing - we got a ton of great work done. Plus, everything was immaculate, super cozy, and the perfect size for a couple. We took out the boat and built an outdoor fire, watched movies and cooked in the awesome kitchen. A rustic oasis for an incredible getaway. ❤️

amazing, tranquil lake house
We have stayed at many lakehouses in the Catskills/Hudon region over the years, and this was one of the very best. The house was comfortable and had every amenity we could have wanted. The lake was beautiful and it was so relaxing to use one of the property's included kayaks to spend time out on the water. The owner was friendly, responsive and helpful, and overall we had a fantastic stay. We will definitely be back!

2nd Visit
My fiancée and I had another (longer) visit to this wonderful property. The waterfront side of the house has been upgraded with a large patio for cooking, dining and lounging. The host is extremely responsive and accommodating. We look forward to returning!

wonderful lakeside getaway
Stayed here with the fam for a monday-friday getaway. I had to work from home and the computer setup was perfect - just plugged in the laptop and good to go. Brought the paddleboard, easy fishing, awesome fire-pit and great outdoor shower. House is cozy and layout is efficient. Would definitely stay again.

We'll be back!
This was such a great escape from city life. Our 6 year-old assigned herself the bedroom with the lake view. and we kayaked, made s'mores, and enjoyed throwing rocks in the lake every day. Perfectly appointed for our little family of 3. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen (with a range much nicer than the one I have at home) and the hot water was fast and plentiful. Our host, Maureen, was quick to respond when we accidentally locked ourselves out. We can't wait to go back when it's warm enough to swim!

We loved our long weekend getaway! Great for R & R, winter hiking and outdoor adventure. Great communication with host, beautiful cabin, well appointed. Beautiful views of the frozen lake from multiple vantage points in the cabin. We hated having to leave!

Perfect place for a relaxing escape. House was clean and homey and full of personal touches. Location is great, set right on the lake with a fire pit to sit by the lake and kayaks to explore it.

Lovely Lake Cabin
My fiancée and I had the pleasure of staying at the Wanaksink Lake cabin for 4 nights. It’s freshly updated, well stocked and very clean. The lake is crystal clear. We really enjoyed the kayaks, long swims and walks through the private community. It’s a unique spot that’s very quiet and most often breezy. We look forward to returning soon!

Rock Hill Cabin
Everything about the cabin was a delight. New construction and fixtures; lovely welcome package. The lake is beautiful; we made great use of the kayaks and enjoyed the outdoor shower. There was a small glitch on our arrival and Maureen was wonderful and immediately responsive. We went hiking nearby in both Neversink and Basha Kill preservation. We had a wonderful time and would come back for another getaway.
