Lovely house, very private, very clean & nice, plenty of room for just the 2 of us. Lots of bedding & towels (good quality), very nice kitchen. Convenient for some very nice hikes in Mt. Hood National Forest. My quibbles are very 1st world & thus the 4 stars instead of 5. 1st of all my issue is with virtually all vrbo listings, please just tell us the real cost up front & directly. I hate it when you think, oh, that's a reasonable price & then all the added fees make it twice the original price. I am fine the size of the cleaning fee as it's a big house & if all the beds had needed to be changed that would be a big job, & I just always hope the people actually doing the work are getting the actual $. Then when I am asked to pay that kind of cleaning fee, I'm still supposed to start the laundry for them? Mostly at this place I resent there is a hot tub fee but the point is, it's not optional so really, it's not a fee, it should just be incorporated into the price of the house. Just be honest folks. 2nd quibble is that there was no information binder telling us things like how the heat worked (took us until the next morning to figure that out) or give ideas about local hikes & such. We always appreciate that kind of information/recommendations. Another source would have been a guest book but there wasn't one of those. Then it turned out that some of the information was in a link they sent us on the day we checked in that merely said "review your trip" not, hey, here's helpful information for your stay, so we hadn't clicked on the link b/c we had the enter code & directions (though our GPS didn't recognize the address but Google maps did) so we didn't feel we needed to "review" anything. Again, all 1st world quibbles & not a reason to deter you from booking this beautiful place. It's peaceful & comfortable, plenty of room for a crowd & very clean. We loved Mt. Hood National Forest.
