Definitely NOT 5 star - 2 star is true reflection
On a month long trip in the States looked forward to the end our trip with a 5 star property. Sadly WE DID NOT get close. On arrival entry to the property was confusing as the hosts did not know what type of lock they had on the door. On entry we were met with a filthy stair carpet and some serious scuffed paintwork on the stairs. Reaching the first floor of the property we instantly saw around 8 or 9 ant bait stations - these were not working as there was a significant ant infestation in the kitchen & bathroom area. The lounge consisted of a very dirty rug, a grubby, old & very uncomfortable settee. The TV was far too small for the lounge & the promised Netflix & Hulu took 3 days to access when they finally supplied the access codes. Kitchen was minimally stocked with mix & match crockery, glassware. There was a broken drawer in the 2nd bathroom. The main bedroom had a broken blind & only 1 curtain. In the wardrobe there was a pair of worn men's underpants. Also found evidence of dog food biscuits. It was clear that having paid for a cleaning service we did not get it. Communicated all these issues to Ian who acknowledged but continued to message "hope you are enjoying your 5 star stay?" On departure the place was considerably cleaner than when we arrived! The bedding was clean but low grade - straight out of dryer & badly creased. All supported by photographs we have offered them but not shown any interest. Ian was talking of compensation however contact has now dried up
