“The castle and surrounding area are stunning with breath-taking views and sunsets. The villa was lovely, if not a little rustic, but it was what we expected from the photos. We ate on property two of our four nights, the wait staff were not the most welcoming and did not offer the charm of the surroundings. ”

We were within an hour of every place we wanted to visit (Florence, Siena, Piza, Volterra) and even got to do the Cinque Terre hike, albeit a long day but so worth the two hour drive time! The train being so close made all excursions possible. Wineries are very close and within driving distance. Cabbiavoli itself is loaded with history and its grounds and views are breathtaking....

It had everything we needed for our 3 days whist we explored the cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena, all a short car journey away. Because of the location you definitely needed a car. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend. Beautiful place.”

“We had booked an apartment (no. 4) in Montegufoni for 2 weeks from the end of July to the beginning of August 2024. The location of the castle is very beautiful and quiet. The charm of the old castle is really charming. The staff were all very friendly. Our apartment was located outside the castle. It was 50 to 100 meters to the castle on foot.
