Hanelei Bay Resort not Bali Hai
Hanelei Bay Resort is where we stayed! Beautiful beach shared with the One Hotel! Fantastic time. Nice unit… had everything that we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful! Definitely will be back.

This room needs overall maintenance
The resort itself is very beautiful- this unit is a different story. This unit needs a good deep clean. When we arrived there were cobwebs, multiple surfaces that were dusty, bugs in many places, little dirt specs on the comforter, and the tub/shower was filthy. After we showered the tub was also clogged so water was past our ankles any time we showered. We messaged Vacasa to know and they got us in contact with the property manager. They said they would have someone come do a quick wipe down of everything and have maintenance fix the drain. The only thing they wiped down was the tub - everything else was still dusty and overall just unclean. The shower was unclogged for about one shower then it went back to how it was before where it still wasn’t draining. We asked for an early check in and they said it wasn’t available- no big deal. We also asked if we could get a late check out. Vacasa told us that even though no one was checking in after us that it wasn’t available since we didn’t ask two days before check out. Overall just really unsatisfied. If you’re wanted to stay in Hanalei Bay, go through the resort itself and skip the hassle of dealing with Vacasa.

Good location, room and furniture in poor condition
The bathroom tub was FILTY, shower curtain had mold on it and tub wouldn't drain. I called VASCO to have someone look at these problems, they assured me someone would...no one ever came by or followed up by phone. When we stripped the bed before checking out, there was no mattress pad (GROSS and UNSANITARY!) and the pillows were stained. Communication was not good. Disappointed!

Stellar Spot with Gorgeous Views!
We loved our stay in Hanalei Bay Resort! The views from this unit are stunning! There were thoughtful touches in the unit like dishes, reading lights, very comfortable bed and chairs, a fan that worked well to circulate the AC, and chairs / table on the deck. Thank you for making your unit available. We had a lovely stay!

Not A Good Stay
We spent four nights there. The ocean view was gorgeous. The compound was beautiful. The apartment was decent in size. Its deco was dated. The shower was old and not very clean and so was the toilet. The ceiling fan couldn't be turned off which made a clicking sound on each round and it drove me crazy during the nights. The ceiling light couldn't be turned on and it flashed once a while. We noticed "sands" on the pillows and sheets since the first night which turned out to be termite droppings from the ceilings. The helpline couldn't offer much help but promised local crew would contact me the next day. We spent the night shivering as the blanket was very thin and the fan was going. We had to use the beach towels as another layer to keep us warmer. We didn't get any response nor help on the 2nd day. So we had to shiver for the 2nd night. I texted all the possible contacts. On the 3rd day a local crew came trying to fix the ceiling fan while we were away but he couldn't. He did leave us blankets which saved us from shivering at night and some supplies that were missing from the apartment. We spent all four nights with the ceiling fan going with an annoying clicking sound on every round, with the termite droppings on our pillows and sheets every morning we woke up and every night before we went to bed. The office told me they were going to compensate me for all the troubles we experienced and endured. More than two weeks since we checked out, I haven't received anything credit.

Beautiful area, great resort. We had such a good time and the views were awesome. Really close to the beach with a quick walk or golf cart ride. Recommended!!

Fantastic studio with amazing view of the bay.
This studio is an extraordinary deal. Everything about it was fantastic, as was the property in which it is located. Among the units in Hannibal Bay Resort, this one features some of the best views. It is a five minute walk from the main swimming pool and the front desk, and a fifteen minute walk to the beach. If you have the chance to rent thus unit, my strong recommendation is GO FOR IT!
