I booked this home for our Spiritual & Mental Wellness Retreat. Unfortunately we had a death in the family of one of our members and had to change the date. I did a formal change in date and then gave the date 2 more times with a total of 3 times.
They asked me to resend the dates even after I sent it twice. After resending the date again, they never replied back. They then proceeded to send the booking information on the day I was supposed to check in! When I told them I gave the dates a few times, and asked them to look at our correspondence, they never replied. Its been over a month and they never replied. I contacted Vrbo it took Vrbo three times for reach out to the property manager & owner before they finally replied.
I understand if I couldn't get a refund, but why was there zero communication?
As a home owner on Vrbo, you are running a business, and it is very disheartening, inconsiderate, and unprofessional to not reply at all.
We take pride in communication as we deal with the mental health of individuals and when we had an unfortunate loss of loved one it was ridiculous to not get a replies.
We would have loved to stay in this home, which is why we asked to change the date, but not with this miscommunication. Its sad people would conduct business this way. It was my hope not to write a review but after a month of being ignored I had no choice. If you are the home owner, please check the ethics and values of the property managers you hire. Be well.
