Lots of Issues & Still Seeking Refund. Not a relaxing vacation we had hoped for.
I will start with the pros: The house is incredibly spacious. If you are looking for privacy & quiet it's a great option. 4 Wheel Drive needed. Our kids loved the dart board and game room. However, we encountered many issues which I will detail:1) We turned on the oven with plans to cook some frozen pizzas & the stench that emanated from the oven was absolutely awful; it smelled like a bucket of urine. I’ve never smelled anything like before. Upon further inspection, we discovered that the lower oven drawer was filled w/ cooking pots and pans, as well as rodent traps. It was truly DISGUSTING! Couldn't cook in the oven & wasted lots of money on groceries we had to toss.2) A bear tried to get into the outdoor trash bin - see photos. Not a bear-resistant trash bin.3) Received no directions on how to enter the home apart from the key code. 4) We realized none of our phones had service nor did we have WIFI; however, we had no idea how to find the WIFI box as we had not been left a physical guest guide nor an electronic guide book. This was concerning from a safety standpoint as the home is very rural were there to be an emergency. 5) The home is in need of many repairs which were not evident from the photos on the listing, i.e., every dining room chair was stained and/or torn. Torn leather on couches.6) The home comes with paddle boards & kayaks & the listing shows a water view from the home; however, as noted by other reviewers, this home is NOT on a usable lake.
