We travelled from West Lothian to enjoy our week in Skye, with the directions provided it was very easy to find Storm and when we arrived, the house was warm and cosy and welcoming with everything spotlessly clean. The bottle of wine in the cooler and the biscuits were much appreciated.
Stoirm is very well equipped with everything we needed, including a 55” smart TV and is furnished to a high standard, so we quickly settled in to enjoy our week in Skye.
The views from the living room are fantastic and when the weather was less than inviting, rather than brave the elements we were happy to relax with a glass of wine, read a book, listen to music, watch TV or surf the internet as the Wi-Fi speeds were very good TV .
When the weather was clearer, the views are spectacular and we did spent a great deal of time enjoying them.
As it turned out, the weather wasn’t too bad for November and we managed to get to all the places we had planned to and enjoy the stunning beauty of Skye including the Fairy Pools, Kilt Rock and Neist Point, attractions we hadn’t visited before.
The close proximity to Portree was very useful for shopping and exploring down at the harbour area and is an ideal base for accessing this end of the island as we have mostly stayed around Broadford during previous visits .
We have rented several holiday properties in Skye over the years but Stoirm was definitely the best by far and we should have stayed longer but we do look forward to returning.
