We had a great time. 6 th bedroom was not connected to house had an outside door in but had 3 beds and a bathroom and was clean. Small washer and dryer was the only thing that was challenging couldn’t fit but a small load in them

Great for big families
With our large family, it is difficult to find a place large enough to accommodate us. This place is spacious and has a large kitchen and eating area. Cannot beat the location!

Pool was a major plus
Overall nice place. Place seems to have some age to it and could be maintained better. Several of the chairs by the pool were unusable. There seems to be a wasp/hornet issue around the bottom of the steps where the hose for washing your feet off is. Thankfully no one was stung but seems to be a nest or something in the area. Internet was very slow and spotty. Needs to be updated. Thankfully we brought our Wi-Fi home tower to be able to do some work items during the week. After arriving realized the ice maker in the fridge was leaking so we turned off and had to buy bags of ice throughout the week. We did let them know and someone came to check and said a part would be ordered but wouldn’t be repaired during our stay. The listing mentions a counter top ice maker but there isn’t one. Very thankful for the pool. It was wonderful. We had a wonderful family vacation.

Peace and quiet
There were eight adults and three grandkids and we have plenty of room. The town was small, but not far from major stores. There was hardly any traffic. Perfect place if you want the peace and quiet. The beach was spacious. Plenty of room to throw the football and frisbee. Will definitely be back.

Mixed feelings ...
Overall, the time of being with our family and the spaciousness of this house was great. So, we had a great time and enjoyed the peaceful area and the uncrowded beach! We had 14 adults and 3 children under 3 years. There were positives for this large group like the two refrigerators and the open kitchen/dining/living room. I'll list the negatives: *The pool area was unkempt. Weeds were growing in the concrete seams and there was old cheap yucky floats that needed to be thrown away plus an old corn hole board. We used the pool almost as much as the beach this area was disappointing. There were some issues with the pump and the water. I called mgmt and they said an outside vendor takes care of the pool and they had no idea when they would get to us. No one ever came. And, the property management sounded annoyed and inconvenience to take the call. *The bottom floor bedroom with the 3 twin beds was so musty that it was difficult to tolerate the odor. There was no where to put your suitcase, no closet, dresser etc. *The AC unit stopped working during the night. Someone did come fix that and was helpful. He noticed the pool water issue and said someone would come out, but that didn't happen. the screen in porch area's screen were so filthy that when you brushed up against the door screen it left this black filth on your clothing. This happened with the adults and children. *The porches and decks need some maintenance.

A Dream Vacation Beachside!
The house was perfect. Beach access right out the back door. The house was well stocked with paper products, small size toiletries were stocked in each bathroom. Beach towels were supplied. Kitchen was fantastic, well stocked and very large. Loved the huge pantry. It was very clean and met all our needs. Will definitely rent in the future.

Great beachfront location, but not well-maintained
This was a great house layout and the location was top notch! However, when we arrived on Saturday, the pool was dirty, the grill didn't work (and was in such bad shape it had to be totally replaced), the handle was missing on the outdoor shower (making it unusable). Those 3 issues were resolved on Sunday, but it was obvious that nobody had checked the property to see if it was ready for new renters. By Tuesday we had discovered that the dryer wasn't working properly, and though 3 people came out over 2 days, it never did get fixed, a real issue with 12 people in the house and so many things to be dried. There were a few other things that were broken throughout the house that we didn't pursue for repair during our visit. The downstairs bedroom and bath, which are not accessible from the main house, were very damp and musty, and apparently being refurbished, but the work was not completed i.e. the only bathroom light was a tall lamp with a floodlight bulb in it, sitting on the back of the toilet. Thankfully, we had room for our family upstairs and did not have to use that area. With proper maintenance, this place could be great, but at this price point, we should not have had to deal with these issues.

Wonderful time
This beach house was just as described. It was the perfect amount of space for our family. It was us (Mimi and Papa) and our kids and grandkids who stayed. There was something for everyone. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. If you are looking for a slower paced relaxing vacation, this is it.

Great place for family
We had an amazing week at the Southern Belle. It was so relaxing and peaceful. There was plenty of room for all 14 of us we didn’t even have to use the bunk room since there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. The kids had a great time in the pool. It was nice sitting and watching the sunset while soaking in the hot tub. The beach is beautiful. We saw deer on the beach. The only thing I would suggest is the porch lighting needs replacing. Probably just needs new bulbs. Overall it is an amazing property. We hated to leave. We will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay but had a few disappointments.
The check in was easy but on entering the musty smell was discouraging. After a day with air conditioning on it became less noticeable. The home is advertised as a six bedroom but with all the rain it tripped a circuit on the street level and we were told to let it dry out and it will come back on. Well with 3 days of rain( not management’s fault) we could not use the room because it could not dry out. Good thing we enjoy each other because we had to squeeze into the 5 upstairs bedrooms. The pool circulation system also seem to stop working with the circuit issue. What does seem like a problem is management knew about letting it “dry out”. Maybe they should look at the wiring issue. The rest of the accommodations were enjoyed by all.

Very disappointing!
First night house was struck by lightning, knocking out all TVs, WiFi, coffee maker and several outlets. Dishwasher backed up flooding the kitchen everytime someone showered or washed clothes. I made the office aware of the problems that night(early morning). Response was slow, didn't address the problems until Tuesday and Wednesday, we left on Saturday, internet was never restored. Our stay was very disappointing for the rental price.

Summer 2020
Enjoyed expansive porches and breezes.There were very few people on beach and that was great. House was big and comfortable . Gulf the whole week looked like chocolate milk as far as could see due to a near bye bay that drains into Gulf . Mold on kitchen ceiling ,, hot tub never worked after several service calls out to siite the electrician would need to change to a different line just for the hot tub and would require AC turned off for a few hrs, we chose to not turn off AC. Three beds only had flat and fitted sheets and needed a bedspread and someone dropped off immediately . All issues were offered to be fixed. . The biggest disappointment was the water . .

Relaxing family vacation!
My family of 12 (8 adults, 3 kids and one baby) stayed at Southern Belle to celebrate our parents' 50th anniversary. The house was big enough for all of us and we enjoyed the beach and pool everyday! The house was immaculately clean and well stocked with kitchen items. We used our voucher for a double kayak, boogie board and 2 life vests. To our delight, they also left beach chairs for the week. The separate apartment was a little musty and the AC made the beds damp. We ended up not using it and my teenage nephew crashed on the sofa bed in the living room. Other than that, it was a wonderful vacation and the only downside was leaving!

Beach house was wonderful
Everything with the rental was great, however it would have been nice to have a brush to clean the grill. The best we had to clean the grill was wadded up aluminum foil. Otherwise our stay was wonderful - relaxing, nice quiet area but not far from some great restaurants.
