Everything was great but check out…
We truly enjoyed this property until checkout day. We accidentally booked through Friday morning instead of Saturday (our fault, and I understand), but the way the booking company handled it is nothing short of wrong. While we were 1.5 hours away at Discovery Cove, the booking agency began urgently calling, saying we had to leave immediately or our belongings would be discarded. By the time I saw the messages, I offered to pay for an extra night or move to another property, but they refused due to a strict “three-night minimum,” despite my recent five-night payment, and another family coming in.This forced my wife to leave our 2,000 family vacation finale day early to pack. The cleaning crew threw away all of our groceries, alcohol, and other perishables, crammed our belongings into suitcases—damaging items and souvenirs—and would not allow my wife to check the home for missing items. We left with several valuables unaccounted for.The home itself is beautiful and the location is great, but the booking agency’s lack of flexibility, poor communication, and disregard for our personal property left us with a disappointing and stressful end to what had been a wonderful trip. If I was the homeowner the booking company would be fired for this reason.
