“Our first time exploring Cape Breton and we made this our base for a few days. We were expecting it be rustic and it sure was - a real old-style beach cabin. The plumbing had a few issues but it delivered hot water no problem. The kitchen is the front entry so a bit crowded. Still, we had a great stay. “The owners are really helpful and friendly. The rooms are perfect, showing a tremendous attention to detail. Breakfast was the best on this trip, and the owner showed us pictures of the island and told us about its history as we ate. After that, he picked up his fiddle and provided us with a mini concert. 10 stars is my evaluation!!”

“A very nice property. Four couples stayed there a night while on a motorcycle tour of Nova Scotia. One of the bedrooms didn’t have access to a bathroom so it was more of a 3br house rather than 4br. Spacious with many amenities but there were numerous sticky notes around informing us of things that didn’t work or shouldn’t be used. The access road was gravel and not motorcycle friendly.”

“Was not happy with getting the house code the day of our visit. We were out of cellphone range a lot and worried about getting it in time. Also, what happens if the owner had an emergency and could not get us the info? It was a bit too much stress for me. Location and home was very nice and clean. Enjoyed the stay after we got there.”

“We have stayed here a number of times. They have a number of rooms, varying in size and degree of amenities. It is a big house. The location is peaceful and quiet. It is relatively convenient, but could be difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area. The cooked breakfast is good, but only served until 8:30. The hosts are friendly and welcoming.”

“This property was exactly what we were looking for. Stunning views and far away from the hustle of city life. The house was quaint and enough room for seven of us.
