Private and Relaxing Beach Vacation.
Great location! Close to the aquarium. Beaches are very private and beautiful. The house was large and roomy for six adults and two kids, with plenty of room to spare. The house was very well cleaned and stocked, and the beds were comfortable. During the day and at night there was so much wild life around the property, which was so fun. There was an issue with the HVAC system, making the bedrooms significantly warmer than the rest of the house, which was uncomfortable at times.

Great location
Great location. Great communication with renter. Only down side to property was that it smelled strongly of mildew, but hurricane Debby was passing through so maybe water was getting in? Possible past water damage in the walls by windows. Were evident but overall it was clean. Update appliances but microwave was broken didn't turn the glass plate. Overall can't complain. Would I stay here again?...I'd look elsewhere first but that isn't to say this wasn't a good place.

Very relaxing!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Green Flash. The house was clean and spacious. The pictures accurately reflect the home. We found the open layout to be very nice. The beach is very peaceful there and not crowded. We were able to cook some great meals in the kitchen and appreciated how well everything was stocked and organized. We had one rainy cold day but were able to enjoy the hot tub on the second level. Thank you!

The view was great. Family business work-group enjoyed the view of the ocean instead of walls. The time at the beach was just what the team needed. The layout and proximity to the water allowed for work area in or outside.

Wonderful location
You truly are right on the beach and it is beautiful. We basically concluded that we were paying for the location.. the house wasn’t necessarily “dirty”, but my goodness we found a lot of bugs (dead and alive) The rental company is wonderful and was very helpful with solving any problems that arrived and it was overall a good stay.. it would be wonderful if they sprayed for bugs.

Lacking Some Things
The views from this house are spectacular!! However for the price it was very disappointing that there was no grill, no cushions on lounge chair on the deck, no beach chairs, almost no games. The upstairs bathroom door does not latch. Overall the house is very dated.

Great location, aging home
The house sits on the beach in a nice secluded area. The aquarium is nearby and grocery and restaurants are a short drive. The house is visibly old and worn. The deck has been partially redone and the TV is new. But the flooring is loose and overall it just feels worn down. Beds and appliances are fine. There was nothing supplied with the house except salt and pepper. No supplies at all. Bring everything. Linens supplied by a cleaning service.

Work in Progress?
Pine Knoll Shores is our favorite spot on the island, and this house is perfectly located. However, I think this property has only recently been available for rental and the transition from private residence seems a little rough. The usual renter's info binder was missing info about trash pick-up. The cans were at the garage when we arrived, and still there mid-week. We called Spectrum and learned that we had missed pick-up day, and apparently so had the previous renters. Spectrum was quick to send someone over to empty the trash and we moved the cans to the curb when we checked out. This situation may have contributed to the number of bugs we saw in the house. There was no ice, nor were there any ice trays in the freezer when we arrived. Turns out the freezer was broken. It kept things chilled, but not frozen. We purchased 4 bags of ice during the week for beverages, but lost some items in the less than freeing freezer. I'd suggest adding a set of steak knives to the kitchen supplies, and maybe adjusting the placement of ceiling lamps over the dining table as they hang directly over the head of anyone sitting at the ends. (Oops! Lots of head bumping) We enjoy grilling the fresh seafood we can buy at EI, but no grill is available. I'm sure some guests leave the grill in bad shape, but personally, I'd pay an additional deposit ($50?) to have a gas grill available and make sure it's clean when we leave. We really appreciated the filtered water tap at the kitchen sink and the quality washer/dryer. Cookware and dishes are very nice and there are some sweet decor touches. Overall, the property is very nice and accommodated us well. These few issues are minor and I'm sure they'll be ironed out over time.
