“Myself, husband, and kids stayed for 4 days in the heat of summer. There's no ac (we knew that already when we booked) so it works fine if you plan on being out enjoying the lakes during the day, which we did. I'd suggest having 1 or 2 more fans available for air flow. It was already pretty uncomfortably warm inside by 9am and another fan would make sleeping more comfortable. My only real complaint would be pet hair on all the furniture. We didn't feel comfortable sitting on the sofa or widow...

“We had a great stay at this cabin nestled in Smith Flat. Location was perfect for a day at Apple Hill, Placerville or Sly Park(Jenkinson Lake) The house is really cozy with plenty of room for a large family of three couples. Very beautiful surroundings with a wonderful deck above the garage. The stars are amazing at night. Only complaint was downstairs bathroom was alittle dirty upon arrival. Other than that, it is an awesome place to stay. Owners are quick to respond. Very professional ”

“We had 3 families of 4 with kids ranging from 3 to 12. We had a wonderful stay at Carson Hill. The house had more than we needed and was really well stocked. There were a lot of amenities for the kids to stay entertained all day. Location was perfect. The main grocery store was a couple of minutes away. We were close to Big Trees State Park which was gorgeous during the fall. It was also close to a nearby lake and logging museum. We had a wonderful and comfortable stay. We look forward to coming...

“Cabin itself was nice and just as decribed. Clean and has basically everything you could need. The cabin was very welcoming and the A/C is great ..downstairs has no ac though just fyi. Location you can hear and see hwy 4 thats only location complaint but it’s not a big deal at all. I would recommend darker curtains for the livingroom area since they is totally see through and does not keep the sun out and better quality kitchen pan and pots. If you plan to cook alot I would bring your own....
