The home was filthy. Contact information on the listing was incorrect by several years.
When we checked into the property we found it was not cleaned, pet hair everywhere, even on the backs of the drapes.
Dishes with mold in the cupboards, no supplies to clean if we wanted to. There wasn't even a roll toilet paper in each bathroom, nor a liner for the rubbish. No vacuum on property.
Linens on beds were dirty.
After finally locating the property manager/owners info, he showed up, unlocked the storage closet and found there were no tools to clean with. Four days later we received a delivery of a vacuum.
Someone "let themselves in" to the property while we were out and vacuumed one carpet. They did not let us know they would be stopping by, breaching the conditions of the rental.
Funny that we paid a cleaning fee, yet we ended up cleaning the home for them. The owner did not respond for requests of towels and linens, as there was only one per person. So, you spend your vacation washing & cleaning for them.
The home is spacious, but the stay is not 'homey'.
The couch is completely shedding, not a place you want to sit if you don't want remnants on your clothes after.
I contacted VRBO to see if they could help out, but my inquiry was "closed" without any explanation.
Do you have any input on this VRBO?
I did receive rather quickly a solicitation from the real estate company that owns this residence to buy properties in the Phoenix area from them. That was the communication i received.
I have rented several properties abroad and in the US. Never have we had an experience like this.
Disappointed, frustrated in the lack of communication
and lack of caring about their property and customer experience.
