Almost great
Communication with our host was good at first. However, after we expressed our displeasure of the state of the house and some other issues we encountered we only received prerecorded responses. This home is also for sale so we were a little worried when we found this out as finding a place to host our large party can be challenging. He accommodated us by letting us in early to get our weekend going. This was a good thing as the log home is amazing but it hadn’t been used for a long time, so we were greeted with dust and cobwebs draped everywhere. We ended up doing a full dust down and sweep/vacuum of the entire house. At $1,200 a night we didn’t expect to make up the futons from a pile of bedding on a closet floor (one was a mattress on the floor). There are dishes to serve your large group but no silverware to go with it. Luckily we found some boxes of plasticware to use. A couch downstairs had springs poking through the cushion so we moved it under the steps so our guests didn't get hurt. There are also some uninvited guests that take residence in the home. We saw some mice skittering around the kitchen area in the evenings and there were droppings on the counter that we had to clean up when we arrived.

Couples Weekend Getaway
The home is a beautiful, large log cabin home. We went up with a large group of seven couples. There was plenty of room for us all. We all love to cook, so the kitchen is a good size with pots, pans etc. The home needed a new bbq grill, so I emailed the host and the next morning a BRAND NEW bbq grill was delivered!! That was definitely a FIVE STAR rating for us!! We had bon fires every night, there was plenty of wood there on site. We even used the wood fireplace one night, and that warmed the whole entire house up so nice & cozy. We definitely would consider renting this home again. And the host and groundskeeper were very attentive and helpful in anything we needed.

Annual Family Vacation
Beautiful log cabin home. There were 19 in our group: 11 adults and 8 grandchildren. Ages ranged from 17 months to 97 years old. We were very comfortable. Nice back yard for the kids to play. Close to Petoskey state park and less than an hour to the Mackinaw bridge. We had a great week together.

4 couples were together for a golf weekend, the home is very large and beautiful. Plenty of room for all of us, there were rooms that we never even used.

Great home in a quiet remote setting. We had 14 guys and each had his own bed. Home is perfect for big crowd with large kitchen family room and back deck. Well equipped.

Perfect family home!
This home is beautiful! Very well laid out, big enough for a huge family to each have their own space. It is set back away from any other house and is very private but still very close to town. Nice big backyard that’s fenced in- perfect for playing family games and keeping the kids in one place. Would highly recommend.

9 women. Wonderful stay! Generous host left a very nice welcome basket. Spacious! Plenty of beds for everyone. Well stocked! Peaceful beautiful location. 10 min drive to downtown Petoskey. Beautiful home! We had a perfect long weekend.

Perfect Group Spot
This cabin provided a perfect place for a large group of friends to get together for a weekend reunion. Spacious inside and out with everything you need to enjoy northern Michigan. Hosts were communicative and gracious.

Great stay for large groups!
Our group loved this home. It was larger than photos depicted it to be and everyone had a bed. The location is beautiful too and off the main road. The property owners were also fantastic and were very responsible. Would definitely come back!

Absolutely beautiful!
Our family spent the Thanksgiving holiday/weekend here. We loved this cabin! It is roomy, cozy, well equipped. The location is perfect, secluded. My only suggestion to the cleaning crew was to clean under the beds and not to keep the extra bedsheets and towels in the kitchen pantry! It definitely absorbs all the kitchen smells. Fortunately, there was laundry detergent (but we also brought ours, which we left for future visitors to use) and we refreshed all the linens we would use. Other than that, this cabin is on our "would come back" list and we are already planning our next trip here! Also, we have recommended it to all our family and friends! :) Property manager was also very quick to respond and friendly!

Beautiful, large home!
We spent a week at this property. There were 11 adults, 2 5 year-olds, and a toddler in attendance. The house and grounds are beautiful and clean. There are gates to block toddlers at the steps which was a great comfort. The home is 10 minutes from Petoskey State Park. We spent much time at the beach there. It is about the same distance from the downtown area. The night sky is spectacular in the backyard. I can’t say enough good things about this property!

Log Home
The house and grounds are very well done. The amenities were beautiful. Bathrooms clean and good sized. All equipment worked fine. We had a good time there. The only drawback was the A/C . Some of our days were in the high 80's. With a single control zone, that meant that the 2nd floor was 75, the 1st floor was 70 and the basement was about 67. The ducting should be balanced to pump more to the 2nd floor, knowing that the cold air will drop to the lower floors. Again, we had a good time at the Log Home and would recommend it to anyone who would want to rent it.

House was exactly how it was described, all amenities were available except WiFi (jet pack was already ran out, but no trouble for us). Location was close to Petoskey. Perfect for a friend getaway!

Outstanding location for access to Boyne Highlands or Nubs Nob. The house was great for a large group, with plenty of sleeping accommodations and extra beds.

Perfect Ski Lodge for Large Group (20)
Home was perfect size for group of 18 (8 adults and 10 kids ages 10-17) across 4 families. Teens had their own hangout space in the basement while adults had the cozy family room. By cozy I mean warm and comfortable because it definitely is not small. It was perfect for a 4 day, 4 night stay. Great location for skiing at Boyne resorts (both locations). My only reason for 4 stars is there was garbage left in the garbage cans and the listing did not indicate the difficult driveway and the need for 4wheel / AWD to make it up the driveway. We had one family whose minivan couldn’t make it up the hills. There are new appliances and work was still being done on the home which will increase the space and add extra laundry. Owner was very responsive to any issues that came up. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great space with lots of potential
This property is close to downtown Petoskey. It is a large home with several bedroom configurations and extra bathrooms. It is excellent space in a great location. However, the property needed a little TLC. A through cleaning between guests is a must. Some extra items like toilet paper refills, bathroom essentials (those things someone might forget) in the bathrooms, a basket of throw blankets in the living room, maybe a bookshelf with puzzles and board games, etc... We stay in vacation rentals regularly and were surprised by how much we missed those extra touches in this rental. It's a new listing, so maybe the owner will add those things for future guests.

freezer broke, the floor downstairs was so hot you had to wear shoes, couldn’t lock front door, TV was out in GR for 3 out of the 5 days. I fell because of the high lip of the sliding glass door and the heights of the step which I brought up to Rob the bruising was so bad on my legs that the swelling and bruising has just gone away!
