We had read about ongoing heavy construction being performed on the units where we reserved to stay, and we called to cancel our vacation as who would want to deal with saws, cranes, loud drills, sanders, scaffolding, debris, and metal scraps laying around everywhere? We were promised that there would be zero construction on the unit we were staying in, and on day two, our door was blocked by workers with sanders and drills leaving us unable to leave our unit. This loud and obnoxious noise continued for the rest of our stay. The management came in after we had dealt with this for days as our 1.5-year-old was constantly being awakened by these workers. There were metal scrap hazards all over the floors in the unit, and access to the beach was blocked by the cranes and heavy equipment on site. I paid a premium for this week and cannot tell you how disappointed I was that management did not offer any compensation for the terrible experience with our annual family vacation. This entire event was ruined and I cannot express the disappointment and disillusionment I feel after being taken advantage of by this unconcerned and indifferent response from this management company. While I realize that updates and renovations need to be done, do not take advantage of your renters and have them stay in the midst of the construction. I would believe that some recompense of a great magnitude is in order and appropriate.
