(Tenemos dos kayaks para adultos, uno de dos plazas y dos kayaks para niños para su uso). Nice, but over-priced
This is a small house on a large lot. The recently renovated upstairs is in a former attic space with very low ceilings and no airflow, and the upstairs bathroom is miniscule. It is significantly over-priced for what you get.

Absolutely beautiful beach and view
We loved our stay at the blue beach lane house. The house worked for our family of 5 plus my mom. She was able to have her own space in the upstairs and we took over downstairs. We had all we needed for our stay and more! The lobster pot was amazing. We got fresh lobster right off the dock in Castine and cooked it up in the back yard. We drove to Acadia for the day and did Cadillac mountain, brought a lunch to eat by Jordan pond then did the trail around. We had dinner in Bat harbor. Perfect day and only about an hour away. We went to the observatory bridge one day and toured Fort Knox probably 10 minutes away. We kayaked at the house, my son and husband saw a bald eagle while kayaking. My daughter was obsessed with the swing. We all enjoyed looking for crabs and hermit crabs and other critters. We brought nets and buckets to collect and then released them. The boys fished (didn’t catch anything but had a blast). We explored by a huge shipwreck that’s in the little alcove out back. It’s absolutely beautiful on the beach. You could sit there for hours and watch the wild life and water. We played scrabble and made many meals at the house. We had all we needed. We will definitely return to this house. My only complaint (extremely minor) was the shower head in the downstairs bathroom. It was a little too strong. The owners were quick to respond if we had a question. It was a fantastic stay.

5 stars for the right people needing the right accommodations
I perceive we were the first group to stay here this season, with the last known reviews/comments from October 2023. We rented it to house 5 people for a few days to prepare for a memorial services 12 miles away. We needed to not only be together to process the moment but also to prep sandwiches for the service. The property served us well. This place is ideal for families. It would house two couples each with two kids well. The upstairs area is probably better for kids than parents. I would send all the kids up there to play on rainy days. I'm tall at 6'2" (188cm), and it was right at the maximum of a comfortable space for me. The house is not glamorous in any way. It's just a relatively roomy Maine house that looks small on the outside that is clean and has enough design accents to not feel shabby. That is probably what most people staying here would want. If you're uptight and want to find flaws in things, you will here. You're better off going somewhere else. For example, the waterfront does not have a clean trail to it. You have to be willing to step over seaweed and rocks, which will keep some older people or those living with certain disabilities from going down to it. But you have great sunsets from the house and porch! The only issue we had was that the water had sat in the hot water heater for long enough to need to be flushed out. It had a strong odor to it at first. I don't think others will have this problem now that it's in service for the season.

Moms/Daughtets trip
Mom, 2 adult daughters, daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law's Mom. The perfect cottage! Wonderful accomodations, thoughtful amenities and beautiful location. It was lovely. Would be perfect for any family. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Lovely, Quiet Ocean Home
The cottage is nicely maintained with everything four sisters and one brother over 60 needed or wanted. Plenty of towels, wi-fi, a deck to watch spectacular sunsets. If you have kids this place is good. A rocky beach was nice to walk on. Spectacular sunsets. My only caveat is that other than a few homes there is not much in a walkable distance.

The house was just as advertised, clean and ready for us. We used it as a base camp for touring around the area, and enjoyed the amenities the home provided. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I wish the weather had cooperated but you can’t have everything!

A lovely stay
I had a very relaxing vacation in this clean and comfortable home in a beautiful location. My family very much enjoyed the swing, kayaks, and ease of access to the water. I only wish I'd known about the Blue Hill Co-op sooner. I found it on the final day of our trip, and it is terrific.

Enjoyed our stay
Our family (2 adults and 5 children) enjoyed our stay at the Beachlane Cottage. It has access to Penobscot Bay via a short path behind the house where there’s a rocky beach area (with some sandy areas during low tide). The cottage is a short drive to the village of Castine and a good launching point to other spots of interest (e.g., Acadia and Deer Isle). The house was spotless and very well stocked with everything we needed. The owners Heather and Dave were very responsive whenever we reached out to them. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5-star rating is because the house is situated pretty close to a road where the speed limit is 45 MPH, so there was some noise from that (but traffic wasn’t usually too heavy).

Great Stay Down East
