“We loved the history of the property. Our booking was very last minute since we were let down by another hotel. The Lakeside Hotel and Spa is very clean, you can feel the warmth when you walk into the property. Overall it was a good experience. The one thing i did noticed is you have to book your table for dinner every night otherwise you end up without a sit-in dinning. “Stayed in a room on the second (top) floor. Really comfortable bed, nice big bathroom and a good shower. Was quite hot due to the weather so needed the very efficient fan on. Very convenient for Lake Windermere and Ambleside. Would stay again. No negatives on the hotel, other than the outside fish pond looks like it needs a good clean out and a filter for the benefit of the fish. ”
