“You can really tell that the staff wants the guests to enjoy their stay. The breakfast was tremendous. We had dinner there and it was awesome, I highly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. We had the cutest, most personable little server, but I’ve forgotten her name. My only complaint was the housekeeper asked if I wanted service and I told her I just needed to replace some beverages and she said she would do that. She never returned. ”

“We stayed in Mae-Mae's Room at the Steele Cottage and it was great for our needs. Well appointed, conveniently located and easily accessible, yet removed from the core downtown area for privacy. The breakfast service at the Duff Green Mansion B&B was good for a first morning, but the 3+ block walk is not directly toward the main part of downtown and the river. I suggest equipping the Steele Cottage with bottled waters and snack items in each room for optimal convenience.”

“This motel is set off the side of a busy highway. You hear cars all night. There is no grass to walk pets on. Room smelled strongly of weed even though the room was “smoke free”. And the door from the kitchen has open space in the top, so you can hear any other guest entering the kitchen. So if you want privacy and really enjoy the experience don’t stay in that room, you will regret it. And definitely stay for breakfast and tour, that was the thing that let me be at peace after an awful night hearing the other guest entering the kitchen at night. "
