The property itself was pretty good (though a place that sleeps 8 should have more than 4 chairs at the table and only 2 placemats, 4 wine glasses, etc.) But communications with the manager were almost non-existent. Prior to the trip I sent several messages (says they reply within a few hours but days later, no reply and I had to call). We got there and one of the TVs didn't work and the other only worked occasionally. Tried messaging with no response. There was also lots of construction going on, and even though my other friends (5 different groups rented in the same complex) had gotten multiple emails in advance warning of the construction, I got none. Then one morning I left and I got a text from my daughter who said some guys came banging on the door at 8am. She was still asleep and construction workers just walked in and took the front door off to repair. She locked herself in the bathroom and texted me. They said they thought we had checked out but clearly we hadn't as all our things were still there and my daughter was there! Even if we hadn't been home, we had computers, jewelry, etc. and had zero notice that someone would be entering our unit. I was flipping angry and called Vacasa immediately saying it was unacceptable! I also took that opportunity to tell them about the TVs since no one had ever responded to my message. It has now been 6 days since that happened, and I got home 2 days ago, but TVs were never fixed and no one ever got back to me or even apologized (let alone compensated) about the construction workers entering our unit. I ALWAYS give 5 star reviews but not this time! Also, my friends who rented through VRBO vs the other guys(not allowed to say) also had problems with their units and they were never fixed.
