Unit was not pet friendly as listed, I checked with host 2 weeks before and he confirmed everything was good. Still have the messages. When HOA contacted him about the pet he informed me that I never asked about the pet and I needed to board my pet, he did offer to pay for the boarding but I have a Chihuahua that has separation anxiety and he doesn’t allow anyone near him that he doesn’t know, hence why we found a pet friendly unit. The only way for the pet could stay was if he was a service dog or have a signed letter from Dr stating that I needed an emotional support animal and why. We checked in on a Saturday at 4pm, do you know how hard it was to find a Dr when you’re 10 hours away from home on a Saturday evening. I was also confronted by an HOA resident asking about my pet and telling me that I’m breaking the rules, at this point I had already spent hours trying to secure this letter so we didn’t have to find somewhere else to stay on a Saturday evening. However after some back in forth with host Dr George, he was supportive and apologetic for what happened and informed us that the property was under new management, new rules and the listing shouldn’t have said ‘pet friendly’. The property was as listed, beds were comfortable, Host was fast to respond and we finally got to enjoy our vacation after 2 days of back and forth with HOA and host.
