Nice area/building, but condo okay
The calypso was a nice place and had a great facility. Nice pools, beach, and workout room. Our only negative was we had no television that actually had local channels. We couldn’t even get our phones/table to screen cast on it. We arrived Saturday and when we contacted someone about it on Monday they were still no help. We had to watch football and tv on our phones. The condo was nice but had some outdated living room furniture (such as a broken recliner). There was also a broken chaise lounge on the patio. The views were amazing of the beach and I saw dolphin every day in the ocean. The condo was close to shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores.

Family Vacation
Sliding door was difficult to open. Toilet paper holder broke in bathroom. No drain stoppers in bathroom. The livingroom furniture needs updated. The real issue was trying to get to get to room on arrival. Everynody checking in at 4 and you couldn't get on an elevator or down the halls with luggage carriers.

The location is great and the condo has potential to be amazing! The location and resort itself keeps this condo busy. But….. there was 2 forks ! For a place that can occupy 9 people. The bed in master bedroom was worse then sleeping on the floor. The furniture is very outdated, a chair in living room looks to be self- reupholstered with random fabric on seat. You can see the staples holding it together. And the walls need to be repainted. Overall my family made the best of it and had a wonderful time celebrating my oldest daughter’s 16th birthday. Now I understand “ due to COVID new guidelines” but 2 forks?? You’re welcome for buying more and leaving them! A little updating and properly equipping this condo would cut down on the negative reviews.

Left a lot to be desired
My family stayed here for a week, during which the AC unit stopped working for about 3 full days. After 4 phone calls and an email finally someone came to fix the AC. Apparently, the problem was black sludge blocking it up because this resort never cleans their pipes! After he emptied gallons of black sludge from the AC unit it did work after a few sweaty nights. The room itself is outdated and had sandy floors upon our arrival. The couch and bedding have stains as well. The pools on this property were also very dirty to the point I was uncomfortable in them. Unfortunately this condo was not up to our standards or what we were hoping for considering the money spent. The free beach chairs and umbrella are the best part, but make sure you claim them by 2 in the afternoon or the chair company will put them up!! We love PCB but definitely will not be staying here again.

Furnishing are bad.
The sofa and chairs are old mismatched and appeared to be second hand junk. The primary suite bedcovering were threadbare and just plain awful. We went and purchased and entire sheet and comforter set. We then covered the sofa with sheets as well. The secondary bedroom coverlet has exposed unraveled edges, no bottom sheet and the toilet paper holder in hall bathroom was broken. The washing machine was full of black soot of some kind and the dryer was rusted. Our third year at Calypso and this was the worst furnished. The resort views, pool and cleanliness is 5 stars.

If you have little kids be careful
The Calypso was a beautiful place to stay. Great location, wonderful rooms but not the cleanest. It took our 2 year old grandson about 10 minutes to find an outlet behind recliner with no cover. Needless to say I was horrified because he is very curious, it could have been bad. We later found the cover in a drawer! There was no bath plug for master bath so I couldn’t even take a bath. I found 2 dead flys in the bathroom also. Be sure to bring cleaning wipes along, I wiped down all counters and tables and it was very dirty.

Beautiful place
The floors were dirty. Our feet were black. It needs a deep clean. Artificial plants are caked with dust. Linens were salty. Dried food was at the edges of the living room. Like maybe someone is just sweeping and doing lightly what needs to be done. There was VERY LOUD construction above us. So loud we couldnt even talk to each other. When i reported it i was told no scheduled work was found. It lasted all week from 8 to 5. I also requested 4 times by email and text for a noon check out instead of 9 am, but never got a response. The construction wouldnt have been such a problem except we had my 10 month old granddaughter and her naps were disturbed. And the nasty floors were a problem for her. There was no mop in the unit so we cleaned best we could. The grout was black and it shouldve been a cream/tan. My daughter has a service dog for her seizures and he was so sick from all the noise from the construction. All construction information should be available for guests so they can plan accordingly. We also had someone break the door facing trying to enter at 3 am. Maintenance had to come and fix it.

Girls trip
We loves the location of the condo- across the street from pier park! It was not cleaned thoroughly upon our check in. There was a used coffee filter left in the coffee maker and smears and smudges all over the glass slider overlooking the ocean. The condo only had the bare minimum. It is helpful when items are left from previous renters. Overall we had a great week of sun, fun and good food.

Great condo but terrible mattresses
The condo was great but only basic kitchen items are available with no bonuses. The mattresses should've been replaced many years ago as they all felt like we slept on plywood boxes covered in sheets and blankets. Would consider staying again but only if mattresses are replaced.

Great experience
Was recommended by a friend to stay here and it was honestly a great experience. Clean, great location, and very spacious. Only downfalls were the bed was not very comfortable and the Keurig did not work well. Other than that we loved it!

Nice property but has housekeeping/ maintenance issues
Great location! The condo was spacious and had everything we needed. Housekeeping/ maintenance issues we found: sand in the sheets of the queen bed, some countertops weren’t thoroughly wiped clean, balcony door in master bedroom was extremely hard to slide open but we resolved that with some WD40, headboard in master bedroom very loose, mattresses were very firm.

Great location and spacious condo
We enjoyed our stay because it was on the beach and we used the convenience of two chairs and umbrella and having pools was great when the golf was closed to swimming for 2 days due to currents. The kitchen is fully stocked with necessities if you are the family who likes to make healthy meals at home. It was great to have access to the balcony with shade during the morning hours and great place to see the sunset. The condo was not as clean as we prefer with sand on floors and on the bedding and we did not appreciate the manager downplaying it and telling me that we are being picky and exaggerating when we sent pictures of send and trash under the chairs and bed. We did end up cleaning the surfaces ourselves to feel more comfortable which this is what manager said we needed to do based on their welcome letter to us. This was unpleasant to deal with. When on the last day our door lock stopped working and we could not leave the condo because we did not know when they fix it and how we can get back in, overall the management office did a good job with sending maintenance and then locksmith. It took about 4 hrs for it to get fixed. We will stay here again.

Spring Break 2023
The Calypso Resort, as always (4th time visited), was perfect for my family's vacation. We had an issue with the air conditioning, but the property management team had a HVAC repair company on-site within 4 hours. This particular unit could use an update but was priced accordingly. The beach at this location is amazing. The resort location worked well for our family being close the restaurants, shop and entertainment spots. We would recommend this location to any one.

5 star location, 3 star stay
This condo is in a great location with a beautiful view, but it came with several issues beyond the dirty, unswept floors after we entered. The unit is also outdated with many scratches/dents on the wall paint and furniture. This property is run by a management company which makes a big difference, because everything is cleared out between guests which means nobody passes on items. For a 6 night stay, we had to buy: paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex, napkins, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, hand soap, cleaner for counter, hangers (there were 3) and trash bags. In addition, we had to contact the management company 4 times (no phone number, only email) for the following: broken coffee maker, leaking faucet in guest bathroom, leaking water heater, missing towel rack in guest bathroom, extremely moldy shower curtain liners in both bathrooms, crooked/offset moving toilet seats in both bathrooms, door not closing in guest bathroom, broken guest nightstand, broken knob on closet door in guest bedroom, burnt out bulb in guest bedroom, burnt out hair dryer in master bedroom, refrigerator making grinding sounds, torn seats on 2 barstools and bathroom towels with threads hanging off of them and many stained. The management company brought over a new coffee maker within 2 hours. The leaking bathroom faucet, lightbulb and moldy shower liners were replaced on the 3rd day and the leaking water heater on the 4th day. No other items were addressed. We were disappointed in this management company given the poor upkeep of the condo and there was no offer of compensation for the managements fees we paid them in the reservation. Hopefully these issues will be addressed sooner than later for future short term renters. We paid for a beautiful view and location, but with so many other offerings in this complex, it would be difficult to recommend this unit given all of the additional costs and problems for a 6 night stay.
