“My wife and I were doing a meandering drive from Ottawa to Montreal. We made a last-minute decision to stay here, grabbing the last room available. We knew it was a remote location, so our expectations were not high.
Owner Dominic, however, has created a jewel along the Ontario side of the Ottawa River that I highly recommend for lodging and, more importantly, the food!
The property used to be solely a restaurant, but post-pandemic, Dominic and his brother decided to turn the third generation...
“We stayed in the Business suite in the apartment building which is connected to the main British Hotel building. The Suite was super spacious and clean. Easy self check in and out. Parking available on the street and local lots. ”
“Absolutely loved this place! We opted for a waterfront room and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the river from the tables inside and outside. It's so peaceful and calm - no excess noise, from the road or elsewhere, etc. We opted to stay an extra day to soak more in.
Otherwise, the shower was fine, the bed was fine, the room came with a fridge and microwave, chairs, and a superb staff who went out of their way to be certain everything was "set" for us.
Breakfast had plenty of options for pretty much...
“Friendly, hardworking owners. The room was very clean. Bed was comfortable (pillows not so much). While in the area I would definitely stay again (and pack my own pillow). About a 5 min drive to downtown historic Perth.”
