I typically have left great reviews on the VRBOs I have rented, this is the first time I was not happy and no resolution was offered. This property is run through EVOLV which may be part of the issue. It is a business. Many things were broken at the property, 1. remotes were missing backs or batteries had run out 2. electric heaters were either full blast or nothing so we were either cold or hot, 3. Unit was dirty and had pests, 4. coffee was a Keurig and had moldy water in the reservoir, so we couldn't use it, 4. Dryer was tiny, and couldn't dry the loads from the larger washing machine. 5. screen door on upstairs door was off and leaning on the side wall 6. unit was dirty, 7. pots and pans were few and the ones I used (which was not many since we weren't comfortable) were dirty 8. Dishes were put away dirty and were just thrown inside cabinets. I reported this list as I encountered them.
I didn't report this one, because I only realized it as I pulled the sheets off the bedding as asked in the instructions. However, the bed my daughter slept in had some kind of hair all over it- apparently dog. It was from a white animal, most likely. It is clear the cleaning service isn't thorough.
What bothered me the most was communication with Kristen. I reported the issues promptly but was always just thanked for the feedback and told how the next guest would have a better experience. There was nothing to address my current experience, which was sad. If more had been done to help us have a good experience during the week, I would not have sent a poor review. Seriously, send a cleaning service if you find the cleaning is so poor. Address the ladybugs we kept having to vacuum or clean up when reported. Those two things would have gone a long way.
