My mom and I spent a quick weekend at "cabin #4" at this beautiful spot at what is known as "The Old Swiss Village" at the Lake of The Ozarks. The exterior is reminiscent of the historic stone construction of an earlier era, while the interior boasts all the modern amenities you would expect from a comfortable stay. The interior is comfortable, clean, and fully stocked with everything you would need on your stay (and then some). Each room has it's own climate control system, and the upstairs bedroom is absolutely immaculate with it's cathedral-style ceiling lined in natural wood and beautiful chandelier lighting. The upstairs bedroom also opens onto an upper-level deck that provides breathtaking views of the lake. The property is located at a bend in the lake, where views of the water extend in two directions at once. We had reservations for Mike's Steak Chalet Saturday night, and spent a wonderful evening Friday at the neighboring Wein House pub, both within walking distance of our cabin, and both with immaculate lake views. The entire "Old Swiss Village" property could very well be the lake's best kept secret, and we're already looking forward to returning to this property later this year.
