Cabaña personalizada en el bosque

La casa en sí es verdaderamente única. Una obra de arte del propietario, los detalles hacen de este un lugar para recordar. Desde la escalera forrada a mano y cortada a mano hasta el columpio del banco que cuelga de las vigas de la sala de estar hasta la cama alta que se ve desde una claraboya, los niños y los adultos se lo pasarán en grande explorando esta casa.

La gran cocina tiene mucho espacio para que todos puedan ayudar a preparar las comidas. El bar cuenta con un terrario con tapa de vidrio lleno de estrellas de mar, dólares de arena, conchas, rocas, ¡mira lo que puedes encontrar! La pared de ventanas te permite disfrutar de la vista desde donde estés. El salón cuenta con un columpio colgado de las vigas y una acogedora estufa de leña.

El dormitorio principal ofrece una cama king hecha a mano, bañera grande y ducha de vapor de gran tamaño. Disfrute de la vista desde las ventanas envolventes en esta habitación también.

El área del loft duerme dos más en un futón y tiene una mesa de futbolín para jugar. La sala de literas para niños tiene capacidad para seis (dos camas queen, una litera superior y una cama alta que da a la claraboya). ¡Los niños querrán usar piedra / papel / tijeras para el lugar de observación de estrellas!

Afuera, hay un mundo entero para explorar. La gran terraza ofrece muchas vistas para disfrutar o pasear por uno de los senderos de la gran propiedad. Hay una gran barbacoa para sus filetes de cena, luego un pozo de fuego para más tarde en la noche cuando es hora de asar algunos malvaviscos.

Cuando esté listo para una aventura cuesta abajo, visite Whaleshead Beach, a menos de una milla de distancia. Las rutas de senderismo siguen la costa casi todo el camino hasta Brookings, o diríjase al norte para otras opciones.

Pacific Palace In The Woods
From the moment I climbed the flattop boulder stairs (easy ascent/descent) and entered the home, I was instantly in awe but also felt very welcomed. Seeing the magnificent structure, with timber beams, mortise, and tenon style in-person will delight anyone who appreciates architecture. Everything you need to cook can be found in the beautiful kitchen wood cabinetry (hickory?) with stone pulls. The seashell counter displays, the antler & skull collections, the macrame wood swing, and the wood stove are all framed with forest and ocean views and deserve attention. In the master bedroom, we enjoyed the super comfortable king-size bed with pillows galore. The master bath has a steam shower with dual shower heads, a round river rock floor, and a seashell/glass accent border. Check out the cabinet pulls; they are made from antlers. I don’t usually get too excited by stairways, but this house has a heavenly one. The home is well situated in the woods with plenty of privacy but still close enough to town for when you need to go there. The property is very close to: 3 rivers (Chetco, Winchuck and Rogue), state campgrounds and state forests, radical viewpoints, and hiking trails but it is a hard home to leave due to its comfort level and abounding views, especially if it is raining. We look forward to coming back soon to visit this Pacific Palace In The Woods!!!

Gorgeous views, well equipped
We loved the gorgeous views inside and out. The custom log beams and wood interior feel both comforting and luxurious. The home is well provisioned with cooking equipment and gear. Plenty of games for all ages. We had many people filling the beds. There are only two bedrooms but lots of sleeping options that the kids enjoyed- hello triple level bunk style! Perfect for cousins. No room darkening blinds on windows so bring your eye masks. This is one of the best stays we’ve ever had.

Beautiful sunset scenery
The house was clean and had a beautiful sunset view. There’s multiple spots in and outside of the house to watch the sunset. The hill drive up is steep, so just keep that in mind. It’s a convenient distance from town. The only downside was there was no AC. Other than that, it was great.

Cabin in the Woods
Loved all the unique details, comfortable layout, and beautiful views. The sunset was best viewed from the top deck, but we loved the view from the swing in the living room too. The king bed was super comfy! The garden tub with ocean view was a treat. Enjoyed the proximity to beautiful beaches. We are seniors... 72 and 75. We both loved our stay.

No TV
The place was hard to find up a steep bumpy gravel single lane road. When we arrived we could not get TV to work. When I called about this I was told to rent dvds. No cable TV so we put a puzzle together. The upstairs had bunk beds and all beds in one room. A live bat swarmed our bed at night so opened door to get it out. I would never rent this home again paid over $900 for 2 nights.

Great cozy spot for family getaway
Cabin was super cozy with a beautiful view. Far enough away to feel like you are in the forest, but super close to town and hikes and beaches and even the redwoods in California. Only complaint is I emailed property manager twice - once to confirm they received the rental notice I signed and another to ask for advice on local hikes, and no response was ever received. Likely due to the fact that it is a property management company running it as opposed to a homeowner.

Secluded getaway
If you love privacy and gorgeous views, this is the place for you. Everything was as pictured or better, and we felt right at home. We loved our time here reading on the deck, sitting in the swing, and relaxing in the tub. One week wasn't long enough!

Beautiful home, great quiet location
Great location to use as a base to explore the coasts and forests of northern California and Southern Oregon. Beds are a bit soft, Neighbor’s rooster is friendly, house is so cozy you might want to stay in rather than getting out and doing things.

Another great stay at this gorgeous cabin oasis!
We stayed here 3 years ago and had such a fantastic time as a family of three that we returned again to recreate the vacation this year as a family of four. The house is perfect. Larger than I remembered! So many fun details for kids and adults. Our four year old loved the bunk beds! And the adults love the steam shower :). On our first stay, we fell in love with the swing in the living room. We'd turn every light off in the house and watch the stars. Such a pleasure in the middle of winter. When we returned home, we purchased the same swing for our porch. Now we're thinking after this trip, we finally need to make that steam shower a reality in our house. ;) Thanks for a lovely, sunny winter escape in your beautiful slice of heaven.

Warm, refreshing winter stay
We stayed in while it poured and ventured out in the mist and bits of sun to coastal beaches and the redwoods. The house was a wonderful home base. Great features, including the wood stove, steam shower, kitchen amenities, and furniture. Great wood supply for the stove and plenty of extra blankets and towels. We loved it!

Second time just as magical
We returned to this property because we enjoyed it so much the first time. We had a great experience again. Everything was clean and comfortable. The house has many special touches like the unique woodwork, the steam shower, and the large bathtub that make it feel luxurious. We went to Lone Ranch Beach and Secret Beach this time. They were both great. I’d recommend this to any family or as a romantic stay for two.

The house was as advertised. Very comfortable and well appointed. Very private and isolated location yet close to highway 101 and town. Due to COVID we cooked in most nights. The kitchen was mostly well equipped but having rented numerous houses during the pandemic we brought with us the must have items just incase.

Great getaway
This house was perfect for our family of 7. It was super clean and maintained, and an easy distance to town and the beach. The big kids enjoyed the bunk room and skylight, and our toddler loved the little bed. The driveway is a little crazy, but doable.
