“We absolutely loved our stay here (family of 5, with 3 children, ages 18, 13 and 11). The location is private, with plenty of space for everyone. Well appointed kitchen. The pool is quite small, and best suited for young children.The outside living area was great, though we didn’t use this at all. “The accommodation was perfect for just me, or if I had my wife with me. Large bed, large closet, spacious bathroom, and a good-sized common area. I was greeted with a handwritten note with some homemade banana bread ( I think), a cluster of bananas, a couple of ripe papaya, and a few oranges. “My three adult children, spouses, and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at this house. It was exactly as described: isolated, welcoming, relaxing. The large lanai was ideal for sipping morning coffee while watching the ocean. We enjoyed meals and playing cards at the large dining table. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was spacious, and everything was very clean. Bring earplugs as the roosters and cows are noisy before 5 AM. There is no ceiling fan in Bedroom #4. ”

“Hulili farm was a perfect home base during our week-long visit to the big island. We enjoyed the super-comfy bed in the ginger cottage - gorgeous grounds and peaceful ocean view. Bonus - fresh avocados from the tree right outside the cottage! The farm location on the rainforest eastern side of the island worked well for us - a 30 min drive to Hilo, and hour to Volcano National park, and one hour to the Mauna Kea visitor center. ”

“House as described, Dannie is a wonderful host and always reachable. She helped us with everything in our special situation, we will never forget her and Jessica. If you want a home away from the tourists you are right. Awaiting luxury and quietness, go in a hotel. It’s a normal neighborhood with chicken, dogs and everything else.
